I've started asking for a receipt every time now, even though I have never, and probably wouldn't shop one of these greasy burger joints. The floor show I had last time was spectacular.

I ask for a recipet now everytime I go in, perfect entertainment. Best one was in central London when all of a sudden they started giving out free apple pies to the kids and came and done a checkback on my meal!!

I did a job last weekend and when I asked for a receipt the sales assistant winked at me ! I should have just had 'mystery shopper' stamped on my forehead !

  • Looks as though RE's site is down again. I think it managed to be up for about half an hour this morning  I think they seriously need to kick their database administrator up the bum!

I agree with Becles. It does seem a lot of work at first having to remember to do everything, but after a bit, it just becomes automatic. I also use the "pretend to type out a text message" approach and then save notes in a draft text :o

I've also been reading a lot of people dissing GAP over the weekend. Well just to put my twopenth (sp?) worth in, yes the money is a bit poo but when you consider that it takes about 20 minutes to fill out a report with them for about £4 - £6 and over an hour with other companies who pay you £5 and expect a thesis in return, then on an hourly paid basis, its better with GAP. Have to admit though, I am slightly worried about getting paid. Only been working for them for 6 weeks, so haven't been paid yet, and they give no indication of what payments are pending etc.

Do they always e-mail you if they have a problem with your report or do they just simply not pay you? If they don't pay up then I'm going to be well out-of-pocket

No they'll always email you - in my experience they're pretty good at paying on time (except last month!) and usually include everything due. If my payment has ever not been what I was expecting, Matt at GAP has sorted it for me.... :D

This is the problem I have with GAP, I have no idea whether or not the reports that Ive submitted are acceptable, therefore not knowing when or if I might get paid!! Im really wary of doing any more assignments with them, just in case I dont get paid for the ones ive already done!!!

Remember everyone; if GAP don't pay you, they're breaking the Ts&Cs they agreed with you in the first place. If you keep all the paperwork for each job until they pay you (specifically what they require of you), you'll never go wrong.

If they end up not paying you for no reason, you're fully entitled to take them to court. Remember, it's effectively an invoice for work they've instructed you to do, that they're not paying....

As I said, GAP aren't likely to not pay their shoppers - any delays are inefficiency rather than malice!

You get a bar of choc this month too! Hmmm, not quite worth the 50 minute round trip from here :rotfl:

You lot do know to spend the whole £7, don't you? I am RUTHLESS about making sure every penny is spent (helpful hint - the chocolate covered coffee beans cost exactly £1, so are useful for topping up if you are short!)

I usually spend about £7.55 to be sure.

(Still not worth a 50 minute round trip, though. I am delighted to see they are having real problems getting the jobs filled, this month. Perhaps they'll see sense and start paying a fee! )

Ha ha! I ordered a coffee and a cookie the other week and was horrified to see the price was only £3ish - when they said "anything else" I grabbed a handful of the little wafer things! :D They must think we're mad!
  • I can't get a page up for TNS (the last few days) I get an error page. Is the site down? or is the link in my favourites gone out of date. If it is the latter can some one give me the link please?

    Thanks
