The other night it took me 2 hours to file a report on a pub meal ... but last night I managed 4 (audit-) reports in 45 mins. Fingers crossed that they don't get lost ...0

RE doesn't sound too good at the mo, they had quite a few pub jobs on end of last week but I didn't pick any up as they were in a not so nice part of town and were a bit further to travel.
Does anyone know if somehwere GAP do an online statement, so you cab check your pay? Just been told I won't get paid for a job, wish they would give you a chance to redo a report. But hey ho, lesson learnt, I have a feeling I'll probably not do much for them at all.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 102

I haven't come across an online statement on their site. Would be a very useful feature to have.
I love the way these companies can just turn around and not pay you with no explanation. I'd love to know how much they actually charge their clients. I bet it would make your eyes water
I'm doing MS as I'm a PhD student, so I'm pretty flexible when I can do work (as long as I can fit about 40 hours a week in somewhere doing my thesis lol) and I thought it would be a good idea to do some, so that my boyfriend and I could afford to have a little bit of a social life. I've had some good nights out, but I'm increasingly beginning to wonder if its worth it. I haven't had any company not pay for an assignment yet, but the money is so minimal that if any don't pay then I'm going to be out of pocket
Plus my recent experience with RE hasn't helped. £10 for taking 5 hours to submit two reports then another hour re-submitting answers that they've lost. If it was my mistake I wouldn't be ranting so much, but when you receive a mail (after 2 days of trying to contact them on the phone and sending numerous emails) saying "Q1 xxx?" Shopper did not submit an answer!" Q2 xxx? "Shopper didn't submit an answer!", I just want to scream at them YES I DID otherwise I wouldn't have been able to submit the report in the first place!
As for RE, the website seems to be OK now, but whether they're still losing chunks of information or not remains to be seen.
OK rant over - more reports to re-submit! :cool:0 -
Hi everyone.
I have a couple of quick questions I'd like a weenie bit of help with. I'm doing a dine in scenario tonight (taking teenage daughter with me). I obviously have my 'order' but was wondering whether I can order any extra items (e.g. a dessert - not specified on the assignment details). Obviously I know i'm responsible for the cost of this myself, but will it make my shop invalid?
Thanks xx:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

Just what I was wondering..I have one with RE next week, it doesn't say not to, just specifies 3 drinks and 2 mains, but I do not want to invalidate it, as we wouldn't go out unless it was "free".
Also with RE had a sarnie job this week and I was offered a cookie and drink. Am I supposed to say "yes", or am I allowed to as the expenses would cover it and it is more for me!?
Must admit, have decided not to bother with any £5 jobs. It is less than minimum wage by the time you have read the brief, got there, done the job, submitted it (5x!) etc.
Think I may miss the Gap wave this weekend as we are away..nooooo!0 -
Seasprite - been and done it and I did stick to the brief. TBH the meal was plenty for two (I was allowed to take 4 people but just took DD). I did wonder about ordering desserts. I can't see that it would matter if you ordered extras - as long as you order what they specify, I don't think it would matter if you ordered other items as well, provided that you knew you had to pay for them out of your own pocket. I wouldn't like to say that for definite though and since I wasn't sure, I did just stick to the brief.:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0

I did the RE one today, and the 3 drinks & 2 mains didn't come anywhere near the amount they will reimburse. Last time I did a similar job, I claimed a second round of drinks and they paid the full amount. So I reckon a dessert should be ok!We’ve had to remove your signature. Does anyone have a reliable email contact for Gap? I have tried emailing them through the website on a few different problems I have been having and I have not heard from them (been trying for a week now).
Thanks in advance.Keeper of 2 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats & thankful that you can only have 1 husband at a time.0 -

I always sent to shopperassignmentsuk@gapbuster.com and if you try at about 10am you should get a quick reply from Semra whose job it is to answer emails.
I don't think I have ever, ever got a reply when I've used the "Contact Us" form on the website itself. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I've got my first ever job for TNS tomorrow - a supermarket one. I've not yet received any brief or questionnaires about what the job entails. Should I be worried or should I get it tomorrow morning? We’ve had to remove your signature.
