I've been accepted by TNS. Do they provide much work, what sort of visits do they provide and are they good payers?

You should still be paid the fee, although you won't get the reimbursement for purchases.

A little tip in these circumstances is to take a photo on your phone of the closed store/site as proof of your visit in case it's queried.
Thanks Chas. There was just a fee inclusive of expenses, I thought about taking a picture, but my phone camera is not the best, I'll have to take a normal camera tomorrow ( I hope no police officer would be too eager to check on me). :rotfl:

Timne - Ta! I'd certainly want the money, I have dragged me there today through all the crowds and walked around the station as well, thinking I must be going mad. The cafe could not just disappear!
• I have just completed my first ms with Gap and logging the report. I am answering the first page of questions but when I click on next it says please answer question 1 and 2 correctly.

I have tried a few variations of my answer and still cannot get past this page. Does it have to be a certain length ? The questions are asking me how many people in the shop and how many consultans were there.

I have tried answering 2 which didnt work and then I tried a sentance which also is not working.

Any ideas ?

Thanks so much
• Right ignore my last post I have tried again with just 2 and seems to have gone onto the next page. Maybe it was having a funny turn

I did a job that sounds like this a while ago and thought the cafe was gone, couldn't find it, asked staff (meeting friend she said wait at this cafe etc) and when I had given up just noticed on my way out a trolley like stand of the same name. If its the same job (obviously won't mention any names even cryptically!) look for mobile type thingies too - sorry can't be more descriptive but PM me if you need more detail.

Hi everysone, As some of you are aware, I am setting up my own MS company and am looking to get a database of shoppers throughout the whole country, I am having teething troubles with the website which we are working on, meanwhile I have set up an email account newshoppers@mysteryshoppingforum.org and if you are interested in joining just email your postcode in the subject line with the number of miles you are able to travel and I will add you onto the map, I will be emailing out applications in a couple of days once they have been approved.

Just to let you know, I am looking at offering approx. £10 per job and paying a mileage allowance up to a certain range.

I am hoping to get started fully within a month, so fingers crossed... :-D

Thanks for your time.

MODS: sorry if this post is not allowed, I have not been told otherwise about my last posts, so I presume this is ok as I am posting to recruit not advertise.

Various types of visits: supermarket/pub/restuarant/sport shop/caffès/diy/bank/social care.

Many of their visits don't pay well & pub/restaurant/caffè-type ones don't even pay a fee at all!!! Occasionally they have a shop/telephone job that does pay a decent fee, but these are not very regular.

TNS are ditching the PAYE scheme in a couple of weeks, so you'll have to go self-employed and deal with the tax forms yourself.
• Oh pooh. Is RE still not working? I have 3 shops for them on Thursday! I am not going to submit my report 5 times like I had to for the last 1 I did. I phoned them and told them it was not acceptable and the woman on the phone was like YEAH WHATEVER, YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING PROBLEMS! Cheeky beggar! **

I have no idea if the reports are working properly or not at the mo. I've got a shop tonight and I dread to think how long it'll take to submit the report tomorrow morning

As for their attitude, I couldn't agree more. I need to re-submit four reports because the information got lost down the electronic ether (get the feeling that someone doesn't know how to set up a database properly at their end) and I'm expected to drop everything and do them! Maybe if I was getting paid £50 a report I wouldn't mind

Willowthecat, I totally agree with you. Last time I did one for them, I had to end up spending 3 hours trying to get the stupid thing to save. That was after about 6 attempts. I don't mind doing it twice, but anymore than that, the pay is not really worth it. Basically for 4 hours worth of work, I got a tenner. What a shambles!
