So a 39-year old can't give a decent appraisal of a sandwich? That is SO ageist!

  • I've applied several times to Gapbuster without receiving any reply. Is there any chance that at 50, I am too old for them?

I meant the poster was over 38, not the limit. Hence she cannot see them.

Hi, does anyone work for Bare? If so, do payments actually come through? I have done quite an expensive one, and though they have said they have put the payment through, I have not yet received it. Eeeek! Help.

You don't get "ageist", "sexist" and other forms of discrimination in this job. The client sets the spec of people they need for jobs, and in this case they must think their main customers are under the age of 38 so they want shoppers under 38 to blend in. I agree it's a bit odd though, as people of all ages buy sandwiches.

In the same frame of mind, a young fashion chain will want young MS shoppers, clothes shops will want the relevant sex person if the fitting rooms need to be checked, an opticians will need glasses wearers, a certain lingerie chain needs large breasted ladies and so on!

I've even once had a very embarrassed lady ring me up and ask if I had any flabby bits or wrinkles as they were looking for people to have a cosmetic surgery consultation :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

Doing my 1st write up for RE. AARRRGG. One quick question, where it asks a yes/no question and there is also a box for typing - i take it they want a comment?
  • Yes sometimes with RE it asks yes/no, explain no, but then doesnt let you complete the assign until you have put a comment in  so I usually end up confirming my answer!! I always leave it blank and then click on unanswered questions so you can see which ones you need to fill out!!

    Good luck!

  • I'm expressing my assignment for a burger shop, and as instructed I used a stop watch. but on the report it askes the exact time on my watch in hours/mins/seconds when I joined the Q. I don't know what the exact time was, just that my stopwatch was 00:00:00, then when I recieved my bill it was 00:02:26 etc. But there isn't a 00 option for hours! How am I supposed to do this without guessing?!

The burger shops are done by reading your watch and the chicken shops are done by mins and seconds. Do you know what time you got into the queue at all? If you do then you can just add it up for the three questions about time, from your stop watch.
