A_little_stressed!! wrote: »I'm expressing my assignment for a burger shop, and as instructed I used a stop watch. but on the report it askes the exact time on my watch in hours/mins/seconds when I joined the Q. I don't know what the exact time was, just that my stopwatch was 00:00:00, then when I recieved my bill it was 00:02:26 etc. But there isn't a 00 option for hours! How am I supposed to do this without guessing?!
You take the time from the receipt, and work backwards
Don't panic! Always check that any times YOU think you attended the shop match the times on the receipt you were given. They usually will - or they will match within 5 minutes or so. (Another option is that they will be out by an hour because that shop doesn't adjust its hours for daylight saving). It's often a good check to do before you send your report in.....:p
Although I must admit I have done one shop in the last week where the receipt didn't show the transaction time! It really threw me...........:rotfl:Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Hi
I have the same issue with my mobile stopclock; so i sync the times at say 6pm, and then the first time i click the stopclock is when i enter and as I have synced it i know that it was x minutes and seconds later. Write the sync time down before you go to the shop, as well as what is on either side and [now RE are asking] opposite.0 -
Well I went on to GFK this morning to print off some paperwork for my visit this afternoon and I noticed that my "find a person visit" was still there so I tried to re schecule it for this morning, which was fine I could so I set off to do the "Find a person" visit first. I entered the store snd started to look for the person, but with no look. All the people that I saw were the same as the other day (last friday 7th), so again I have had no look in finding them.
Anyway then I went off to do my second job of the day. I found the shop fine. It looked very run down from the front and when I went inside it was very seedy and it would not be a shop that I would shop in and it is not the type of shop that I would of thought to get mystery shopped. I made the best of this assignment and came out and completed the questionnaire. I had to obtain some leaflets from my visit. They did not have any anywhere, and I had to ask about certain products and get a demonstration about the products. Which again they did not have on display. So I was able to get a demonstration on the product that I could see in the shop. I will have to explain all this in my report.
I then went back to my first visit to see if I could catch the person that I am looking for. I looked over my paperwork and looked again for the person or even the description to see if they were wearing a different name badge, but no luck again. I looked throughout the store and in every department. I am just wondering if they have given me the wrong decription or if I am looking at the wrong time as the shops are open later as it is getting to xmas. I have just had enough today. Do you think that I will be able to re schedule this assignment till tomorrow as last friday was meant to be the last day.
I have another visit this evening woth another ompany. I am just hoping that this job will go well. I have just had enough today.
Right Rant over now thanks for reading it.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

I also popped in to GAP coffee shop this afternoon as it was very cold. I was not doing a mystery shop at the time. I got in the queue and waitied for my drink. There were four people in the queue ahead of me waiting for their drinks. The lady in front of me asked the person who was making the drinks how long he would be? The lady was very polite in her question when she asked it. Her reply was "it takes as long as it takes" We had been waiting in the queue for the drinks for more than 3 minutes and the lady in front got her coffee which was only an espresso. She sat down at the table and was chatting to the person that she was with. The person that was serving the drinks then turned to his colleague and called her a !!!!! in front on me. I heard all the conversation between the two people and I thought that it was not necessary to call her that, especially in front of other customers. At that time I do not think that she heard it and she was putting in a complaint to the manager. The lady did put a complaint in about the person that called her that and after I had finished my drink I went to her table and explained to her what he had called her.
Well that would of been a nice mystery shopping trip if I had been assigned to do it that day. I think that he might of been sacked.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

I did a mystery shop this year and watched a fast food manager give away aprox £40 of freebies to a young man shed been fluttering her eyes at.
I did detail it all in my report and agreed to repeat what Id seen to whoever needed to hear it from the horses mouth.
Guess who served me next time I shopped it? Correct. Im really not sure the companys do much with the info they get so dont be surprised if next time your in getting a coffee Mr Potty Mouth isnt in full swing again.
ps. Hi to all Ive been reading for quite a while but itstaken till now to pluck up the corrage to 'speak'.

So a 39-year old can't give a decent appraisal of a sandwich? That is SO ageist!
Well would you believe it, just logged into RE, and there is a whole page of sandwich assignments! Sadly I can't do any of them as (1) None are close enough and (2) they have to be done Monday – Friday; between 07:30am – 9:30am which is impossible for me with school runs to contend with, but hey, I could see them!! Maybe I'm not such an old fogie after all :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature. mimi: make sure your iban number is correct - the expenses come through very fast so if they say they have then they probably have.
catwoman: i appreciate that you are tyring to find that person, but MS doesn't pay enough to keep going back; if you have fulfilled the assignment then post the results.
From my particular experience; I always seem to get bad service and the times that things 'happen' when I am there are fabulous to watch. This monday's was brilliant - the venue turning away customers because they were shutting early for an xmas party - thank you very much - makes my reports come to life!!! Just wish I had gone a half hour later on and been turned away myself - the hour we spent there was grim at best.0
