Have you actually been to visit the breeder, seen the parents of the puppy, seen the litter, etc? If you have, then you have their address and can go and ask them (safely of course) what's going on.Indidoodaah said:A week ago I paid a £250 deposit via bank transfer on a £950 puppy, I was told I would receive regular updates.
I have to tried to contact the breeder several times and only received two texts (one only consisting of emojis and one four words but not answering any of my questions) I asked for an update on photos yesterday and have had no response. It has turned the experience into a more stressful than happy one.
On the advert there was no mention of the deposit being non-refundable nor any mention of that in the communication, the puppy is still not ready for leaving for another 5 weeks and they accepted my offer of £950 even though they had it listed at £1250 so I don't think there will be any loss of money if they were to find it a new home but I was wondering what my rights are to my refund back?
Thanks
Please don't tell me you bought a puppy from Facebook....

Some people do have other things going on in their lives at the moment (and any other time come to that) a day without a response to your text is hardly grounds for cancelling the purchase and discussing consumer rights.1

I haven't seen them in person, I have seen photos and I have their address.Aylesbury_Duck said:

I would go to the address tbh
But then also I wouldn't be putting down a deposit on a dog from an ad on a website5 -

I do regret putting a deposit down without atleast a videocall and asking more questions so I know I was foolish in that aspect.suki1964 said:I would go to the address tbh
