Not sure if I will get a speeding ticket

On the A23 in Sussex - and not within the roadworks bit that's at 50mph - my sat nav tells me (wrongly) that the speed limit is 70mph even in the section with streetlamps.
It's a dual carriageway not a motorway at the lower south end, and streetlamps tell any clued up driver that it's 60mph. Them's the rules but my sat nav doesn't know it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

your speedo is set higher. Youl of been doing 33. So if you're lucky they prob wouldn't of clocked it. If they do i doubt your appeal would stand as you should be looking at the road signs not the GPS1

The fact that you are, seemingly, unable to accept that means that no one with any expertise in this matter is able to help you.Try the appeal on the basis of your argument, then come back and tell us if you've pulled off a groundbreaking success.
For example my partner just recently passed her test, but it was part of the rules she had to buy a sat nav to a certain spec, before she can take her practical test. Surely anyone can see as motorists we are starting to be side tracked from bog standard signage which should be followed and abided by, but no we got all this technology distracting us from what is real.
I mean come on why the heck do you need a sat nav to pass a practical test? Its farcical.
So basically why cant we use my snapshot of what the gps said was 40 in an appeal. It doesnt sound strange to do that to me. If the law states we need these things for guidance. How far do we mix guidance with hard law?
To me the worlds gone mad!-1 -

From https://www.gov.uk/government/news/driving-test-changes-4-december-2017 -The driving test will change from Monday 4 December 2017 to include following directions from a sat nav and testing different manoeuvres.
The examiner will provide the sat nav (a TomTom Start 52) and set it up. You won’t need to set the route - the examiner will do this for you.3 -

Apparently new drivers have to show they are compitant with a sat nav.
This is what I meant, so when the device is wrong or whatever, why cant you dispute it when you get a fine. It makes sense to me.-1 -

They can over-read by 10% but never under-read.3 -
