Not sure if I will get a speeding ticket

How accurate are GPS systems? I was basically going down this road today and the police were there with a hand held camera and I was doing roughly 36 MPH, and further back the road was a 30 sign, but on my phone via the Google maps app as you head towards where the speed trap was my GPS reading changed from 30 to 40 zone. Hence why I dont really know if was caught or not.

Not sure why this posted twice. Hopefully someone will delete this one.0

If you were parking on a private car park, you can rest easy because the police don't check speeds of parked vehicles. However, if you want advice on real speeding tickets you're better off posting on an expert speeding forum. Here's your link:

PePiPoo will sort you out. Good luck. 👍Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. My gripe if you like, is the fact my GPS states that the section of road I was on where the speed trap was is listed as a 40 zone.
And one of the questions I merely asked was wouldnt this help my appeal? Not sure you can even appeal to a speeding ticket can you? I have never had one in 34 years of driving. I know the signs dont lie, but they were further up the road. I know some areas are 30 then suddenly go to 40. I really struggling to get my head around why the GPS changed to 40 not long before I approached the speed trap.
Another thing is I have heard the hand held devices are not that accurate.0 -
I've watched your thread over on PePiPoo and the experts there are stating facts as they are - the Sat Nav is irrelevant, the roadside signs are the those that matter. The fact that you are, seemingly, unable to accept that means that no one with any expertise in this matter is able to help you.Try the appeal on the basis of your argument, then come back and tell us if you've pulled off a groundbreaking success. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
