thanks redx for the reassurance lol...
Thanks fruitcake. New too this and explained simply for me..0 -
I gave you a step by step guidance and advice just before fruitcake , it doesnt come much simpler given that its a complicated topicyou could say , if you ask silly questions like how am I supposed to know ? , then as a motorist the driver should always look for signs as guidance, be it for speed limits , badgers crossing or whatever , lol , its a mandatory part of drivingthere are dozens of Iceland sites where Excel manage the car park (if you google it , this goes back years)1

I understand your trying to help me.. Im stupid when it comes to these things, i have paid tickets to parking eye and others in the past.. I trying to stop thinking so much about how to do this. I have sent 2 emails to iceland asking to get a response and i would like to hear from head office.. Also i will go into the store speak to manager infront of others make it loud enough but assertive not aggressive. Local MP and press possibly, but what my excuse going to be thats good enough? other than what ive gone by you guys saying leave it till i hear back from iceland?1

no excuses will work, all you can try is for a cancellation by the manager of Iceland or better still complaining to the CEO of Iceland and getting them to cancel it, bearing in mind that many of their stores are on land with pay and display car parks (the one near me uses SIP PARKING and is pay and display, another one nearby is Parking Eye and free , so they vary)sometimes a driver is in the wrong, especially when they do not look for and read the signs that give them permission to parkI have used google street view (GSV) to look at that location and the pictures are 12 months old so fairly recent, so have you done this ?if you had , you would see signs on the car park, one on the left as you enter , next to the pay booth and below that great big ICELAND sign in red with white writing, plus a few signs around the car park and on the wall. I agree the signs dont seem prominent enough and the wording may be iffy, but the driver cannot have missed that grey pay booth which would have given the driver a clue that it may be a pay and display car parkto play devils advocate, if the driver keeps parking and not obeying the signs , I am not surprised if they keep getting parking charge notices in the post, the aim is to avoid them completelyat the moment these companies have cash flow problems so people like the driver here are fair game to themnow if you read my advice on the last page I TOLD YOU EXACTLY WHAT NEEDS DOING , but you may fail , nothing is guaranteed and in the end it may cost due to the errors I have pointed out, HOPEFULLY THE DRIVER WILL LEARN FROM THIS AND STOP GETTING THEM, LIKE MANY OF US HAVE DONE !! knowledge is powergood luck4

what if i was to say i had a disbility parking badge on dashboard of the car.. The person who owns the badge was in the car0

the you mention the EQUALITY ACT 2010 because that disabled parking sign outside the car park entrance makes no mention of the pay and display aspect , but probably refers to council parking at the road junction further up (turn left at that road junction for disabled parking)chances are that the signs inside the car park say NO CONCESSIONS TO BLUE BADGE HOLDERSbut if you dont ask, you dont get , its that simple , so that should be in the complaint to Iceland , but it wont wash with Excel , they want your money because they have bills to pay !!2

so all i can do is wait for a reply from iceland email and ill also go into store and mention the disabled blue badge2

when you find the right person to email ..... and you probably have all ready .... Iceland WILL cancel this .......do you think that they will risk some one like you going to the local/national press and giving them bad publicity ?do you think that if you approached the TV station that had the CEO on saying that they want the help their shoppers ...?Ralph4

I hope your right there... It would make sense for them to drop it if i persist in conplaint within every angle. Ill go in the store and pipe up about it, ask for manager and further high up peoples contact. The template part ive heard mentioned is the blue writing yes that states I will not be paying for PCN ect.. I actually copy and paste and use that as my appeal right?

correct , no changes at all , ensuring you appeal as KEEPER and not ticking any boxes about who may have been drivingadd an extra paragraph to itOne of the people in the vehicle is covered by the Equality Act 2010 and displayed a valid blue badge as per usual3
