I wonder if they have some sort of user activity timer set which automatically logs your out after a certain time of inactivity. Maybe they're trying to limit the number of users logged in at any one time.

Same here, every time I leave the site then open it again it has logged me out despite ticking the keep me logged in button, and it still appears slow to me taking ages to refresh and open new posts using Edge.

It's not always logged off when it appears to be, moving between boards gives different options.
