June 2020 Grocery Challenge

OK, I'm in.
I'm planning to use my side-hustle money for the June groceries. So far in May that's £93.72 from doing surveys, but this will go up a bit before Sunday night, I think.
This is for two adults and is for food and household stuff. I've got some stuff in the freezer, perhaps a week or so of meals, so I think my side-hustle fund needs to cover about three weeks of food and detergent etc.
I've got other funds I can dip into; this is really a challenge to see if I can manage the house on the survey money.2023 Fashion on the Ration
66 coupons to start.7 -
Thank you for the new thread
I'm aiming for £160 this month, I spent 167 in May and this month I'm hoping to start re-stocking the pantry so it will be a bit of a challenge. We used up a lot of stuff over the last few crazy months and there's a number of things I've ran out of.7 -

£5.34 spend to declare at Lidl, just taking advantage of some offers on fruit and veg to finish monthly shop!. £55.04 left for rest of June.
Tesco C&C booked for next week, my fussy cat will only eat their own brand cat food, turns his nose up at anything from Lidl or Aldi. Stocking up on a few items for both of us that neither sell. Will take quite a lot of the budget if everything in stock but nothing worse than a grumpy cat refusing to eat!. Hopefully have covered most of the month so will really have to make the most of the remaining money.

Cycled to the local fruit and veg shop today. Got 10kgs of potatoes which should last a while, and some yellow stickered mushrooms, bananas and garlic, plus a few other bits. The mushrooms will last for a while, I've frozen half of the bananas and the kids have already eaten the rest! And I think I'll batch cook some garlic bread for the freezer. I'll be rounding up again so

I found a vegetable base in the freezer section of salnsbury and cool trader that I buy now, out of laziness. It has finely chopped onion, carrot and celery. I add garlic salt to the pan if garlic is needed for a recipe. It really helps with cooking from scratch after work.
Wow, the thread is really moving! I'm in again this month. I'm still in the May thread as I run a calendar month, but it looks like I'm under my budget 😁 so I'd like to drop to £550 for the five of us. Includes food, household, milkman and toiletries. Thank you for running the thread. And thank you everyone for posting your inspiring ideas. It's definitely helping 😊7
