Managed to get the car window stuck back up as my garage can't look at it until the end of this month- So that's OK for now.
I had a day off with my daughter yesterday- she was running a temp and not feeling well. A day at home sorted her out though.
Still waiting on the bank to respond to my F&F- still got the money sat in my savings account. I've updated my signature anyway just to track with what my DMP says.Bottom line;

Oh I have everything crossed! Lowballing seems like a great idea, worst case they say no and counter with a still great offer, I hope you hear back soon. I had issues with a car window a few years ago, so strange to have it not working, but at least its winter so no need to have them open yet!2

Had a busy weekend- My daughter was invited to a morning and afternoon party on Saturday so between 10am-6pm we were only in the house for 30 minutes! She had a lot of fun but was knackered by the end of the day!
Did a lot around the house yesterday- cleaning and general jobs I don't do very often; descaling coffee machine, running bleach through washing machine etc. Friend with the pugs came round for a short while so daughter had a mad 20 minutes running around with them in the garden.
Picked up a few extra commission for sewing as well so should have some extra money for activities in the Easter holidays if I get shifting with them this week.

So HSBC sent a letter through..... despite specifically asking them twice not to do so and to send it as an email.
Luckily it was in a pile of junk mail and hadn't been noticed so I opened it and brought it into work. They've rejected my 40% offer- no mention of their offer of 80% so I'm going to ring them tomorrow when I have some spare time at the end of the day and thrash out an agreement on the phone of what they want to settle the account. (then ask them for the third time not to send it by post- but then expect that they will anyway. *sigh*) and get an agreement made over the phone that they then have to put in writing and I can just pay them.

Once you've spoken to them follow it up with what was agreed by email again asking for a reply by email. That way they will be aware of exactly what you expect.

I'd actually put a formal complaint in. This is serious. If they are unable to not forward by post then those on the telephone need to be made aware of it.
I've had to consider if we can act if we can't write to a home address - completely different circumstances but just as serious2 -
The problem is @peb there's a likely chance that they'd send me a letter outlining what my complaint was (par for the course at this stage) Then if that gets opened and my husband sees 'as you are living in an abusive household....'..... WW3.Bottom line;

Maybe save it until you're safe from that. There's obviously an issue/training need and even if they only send you an apology at a later date it may help someone else from having the same happen. I'm glad this letter went unnoticed by anyone but you.3
