Yep I absolutely agree! Didn't intend to give the impression that I was spending all of it on one meal.
Equally though it will be very nice to allocate say £40 for food for Christmas day rather than watching every penny.
I'm just very excited that my food budget for the whole of December has just been been increased by 200%

So We're having our bubble friend round for Christmas day which will be lovely and he also wants to divvie up the meal costs and bring stuff, which reduces the amount of the Tesco voucher I'll be spending on Christmas food.
His car has also been broken and in the garage for the last couple of weeks so on our "fakeaway" evenings which we usually pick up half the ingredients each, hes been unable to bring stuff as he's been cycling over- I haven't minded as the cost of the fakeaway stuff comes in at less than £10 each week for 3 people rather than our average takeaway which used to cost us around £21 just for the two of us. However my
friend has just text and said that this week he'll buy us all a Chinese this week to make up for the two weeks I covered all the cost. Nom.Bottom line;

How nice! As much as fakeaways can be great sometimes it's nice to have that real tasty takeaway. Nice to be treated3

It's also the last week of term so nice to have a treat on that account.
Quite a few deadlines this week, hoping to have them cleared by Tuesday lunchtime so i can really enjoy the christmas stuff for the last few days.Bottom line;

Husband is being especially difficult this week. He's in a pit of despair and worked himself up into a right state.
He's spent the day today turning it on me and then getting more and more ridiculous with it as i didn't go along with his thought train. At one point he was saying that his entire life is !!!!!! and that marrying me was the reason for it all. He's then told me I'm being cold and inhumane as i'm "unmoved by his despair" Ironically (though possibly not) its the exact pattern that my alcoholic mother used to verbally attack me with when I was a teenager; say horribly cutting things about me, I close off to emotionally protect myself, tact changes to attack how cold and stone hearted I am.
*eyeroll* So anyway, to escape the pit of despair I took the kid out to eye up tasty christmas things in Tesco for the christmas shop and then we walked along the promenade eating sweets and chasing seagulls. Nice afternoon with just the two of us.

Sorry you are having to deal with this emotional abuse from your husband.
