Ta everyone. As an update; my bed is up, beautiful kitchen table (that I collected last weekend from the most gorgeous house ever- think Netherfield House from Pride and Prejudice (huge solid top oak dining table with 6 chairs for free!) is up. All furniture in daughter's room is done (with 1 exception) Cutting in finished in bedroom- did it last night after work. Curtains up in daughter's room, lounge and my bedroom. (rest of curtains will be sorted in next few weeks)
So tonight after work- going there with 3 friends- taking extremely heavy wardrobe (currently at bottom of stairs as that's as far as I could get it with 1 other person) up the stairs to daughter's room. Putting all the furniture in the right places, hanging pictures and putting up her fairy light curtain at the front of the under bed den.
Bottom line;
£49k paid off
Car HP paid off
Debt Free!
Saved Escape fund and moved out.
Current focus; saving Emergency fund9 -

You certainly get a heck of a lot done in limited time and on limited cash. What wonderful friends and colleagues you have too.
I know there is a very challenging hurdle coming ever closer and send the best of wishes for that part too.
Its a lot and you're doing incredibly well x2 -

Ta. I got the wardrobe into the house with only one other person so I'm confident that 4 of us should be able to get it up the (very wide) stairs fairly safely.
I'm heading to the house at break this morning as I have a double PPA and all my levelling, assessments, marking and reports are done. (and frankly nothing is happening on the last half day that I need to be prepared for. Passed my performance management with flying colours yesterday afternoon so that's currently in the bag. (Asked headteacher and he's said it's fine provided I'm back by lunch,) I'm going to do the fairy lights and picture hanging then and just get stuff in the right rooms and then that'll leave me the maximum amount of time to sort the furniture later today.Bottom line;

I have been following too. What a wonderful superwoman you are, a fabulous example to you daughter.
hope all goes well and you have a fabulous life after.Carolbee1 -
It's all coming together nicely. You've done brilliantly with the free and cheap furniture. Agree you have great friends and colleagues.
Is the move going ahead this weekend as you hoped? It certainly sounds as though the house is ready! Good luck with it.1 -
Well done and I hope everything goes smoothly. A word of warning but you probably know this....after the initial adrenalin rush of the "escape", it's normal to feel a bit down or miserable for a bit once you are "safe". Working with the kids that you do I guess this is common knowledge to the people that you work with but possibly not to some of your other friends and family. Good luck with your plans 😊5

Another one who gets excited to see your updates, you have so many people on here sending you positivity 🙂
Well done on everything you've done to create a beautiful new home, I truly hope it will be a sanctuary for you and your daughter once you make the move x5 -
