So lift share friend did indeed get the bed frame up yesterday- I'm going to put slats in tonight to finish it off. I've got a duvet and pillows in the car for the bed today (and picked up a hoover on fb marketplace collected on the way to work this morning.) If the curtain poles are up when I get there then I'll hang daughter's curtains as well.
Work friend is going to go into the house tomorrow whilst her kids are at rugby training and paint daughter's bedroom walls for me which is wonderful. It's all coming together.

Sounds like it is all coming together then. Hopefully not too much longer until you have your own space and no grief from OH. Not until next week. I'm going to have April paying double bills but I've a cushion for that. (plus a bunch of money coming in for the exam marking in July so I'm not worried financially. What a different a year makes!)Bottom line;

You have such a good group of friends Kakiste, that's really evident right now, and heartwarming to read about too.

We break up on Friday.
Daughter's room has been (mostly) painted over the weekend. It still needs cutting in but the majority of the painting is done. I'm going to go there tonight and hang curtains if the poles have been done. (they weren't done yesterday when I dropped a wardrobe off but all the doors now have handles so that's good) If it hasn't been done tonight then I'll bring some old clothes in tomorrow and go do it myself after work.
Move in is looking very likely for this weekend now.
I hit Dunelm mill at the weekend and found two pairs of curtains heavily discounted (I paid £21 for 2 pairs- should have been £67 at full price) so I've got a lovely blackout pair in light green for my bedroom (to complement the dark green the walls will be painted in the next few months) and then a pair of lined cream curtains with dark blue fern prints on for the living room.
The next 3 days after work I need to; finish cutting in paint, put up curtains, move the heavy wardrobe upstairs to daughter's room (have recruited 2 strong friends to help me on Thursday) and lay out daughter's room. (All the furniture is in the house, mostly upstairs but needs putting in the right places.Bottom line;
