I'm alright- not much happening- about half my clothes now out my house- Headteacher has kindly going to let me borrow a school van on my PPA next Monday and go and collect the double bed from the other colleagues house and drop it off at the House whilst I'm not teaching in the morning- at that point there will be a bed each, sofas and a fridge freezer ready to go. If I can get the bedroom painted at some point next week then it's looking likely for next Friday.
(didn't happen this week as there's been loads of staff off with sickness so I've lost nearly all of my PPA- which is fine, it happens.)

So got the double bed and also a leather sofa and armchair (library furniture!) into the house yesterday. Managed to get everything in, done, van brought back and then back into school with about 7 minutes to spare!
Going up to the house tonight with lift share friend to start assembling daughter's bed, will hopefully finish it tomorrow with work friend after work- then it's just getting the walls painted.
Annoyingly just after Headteacher said I could have the furniture from the store, one of our day kids unexpectedly had his foster placement break down and has moved into the care home so it's all needed for him. Which is irritating but hard to be too annoyed as it's needed more by a 13 year old than me. So I'm back on marketplace trying to sort either wardrobes or chest of drawers for both bedrooms. (I'd be happy just getting stuff for my daughter right now as I can live out of boxes for a bit)Bottom line;

Shame about the furniture but as you say the child's needs are needed more than you. It does all seem to be coming together though. Hopefully you'll find some wardrobes and/or chest of drawers on market place.
Do you have a furniture charity shop near you? That would be another option. Are you on Freecycle? Perhaps you could put a wanted ad on there (as long as your OH doesn't look at that too!).
Good luck with sorting everything quickly so you can move on.

Found a desk for my daughter's room (high level crafting space!) with lots of sections for paper/stickers/washi tape etc. I'm going to contain all the crafting to one space! I picked it up this morning on way into work and will take it into the house tonight after work.
Bed assembly went well; we managed to get both headboard and footboard assembled yesterday afternoon- lift share friend is going to come back with me and work friend today as well so hopefully with 3 of us we should at least be able to get it to the stage where only the slats need doing (because I can finish that on my own tomorrow after work)
May have found a chest of drawers from a friend- hoping for a confirmation of that this evening.
Most of the internal doors have been replaced (but are currently handle-less) but the contractor is coming back on Friday during the day to hang the final 3 and put the handles on all of them (currently no doors can be closed otherwise you'd be trapped in the room!) as well as to hang the curtain poles in mine and my daughter's rooms (the rest of them are going up next week)Bottom line;

Oh and it was husband's birthday yesterday. At the weekend I personally drove him to the trade fair that was such a big issue this time last year- I organised a fun social activity at a city on the way back as his main birthday activity with a bunch of friends and bought him nice presents he's been after for a while from both daughter and I and a takeaway yesterday. (These were some of the things that were listed as 'being wrong' last year.)
He was moping in I got back from work yesterday as he didn't feel enough other people had acknowledged him or made his day special; nearby friends hadn't bought him a present and he didn't rate his mum's present and didn't feel like she'd made enough effort. (a bit baffling as he directed her to his amazon wishlist a few years ago as that's a good list of stuff to buy him as it's things he really wants but then gets sulky when she buys anything off his list)
It just goes to show that it's never been about me or my actions. It's all on him.
Before anyone asks why I bothered doing anything it's three fold; 1) to maintain the status quo until the finish line (don't want to rock the boat unnecessarily whilst I'm still there.- If I'd moved into the cottage on 1st March then none of that would be necessary) 2) to set a good example to my daughter of how we should treat others (and sceptically to remove the list of things he could potentially claim I'd done/not done to her after we separate. 3) To prove to myself that even with everything being 'right' then he'll still find someone or something to sulk about.
They'll be no 'next time'
Also yesterday was my 1 year anniversary of paying off my DMP!Bottom line;

I don't think even one person reading here who would for one second question your actions. The last thing you need to do at this stage is rock the boat. I think congratualtions are in order for not saying diddums (sp) to his sulks.

So daughter's bed is half up (had to go on my own yesterday afternoon as there was a bit of a meltdown with one of the year 9 classes which led to other two friends having to stay behind in detentions and mediation meetings. But it's in the last stages- I finished putting the side panels together. Also I found and picked up a chest of drawers on fb marketplace this morning on way into work so once I drop that off today daughter's room has all the furniture it needs. (I now have a bed, desk, toy storage, bean bags and a chest of drawers there for her, along with curtains, framed pictures for the walls, a lamp, bedding, door sign and a rug) So just needs the walls painting and a single duvet and pillow buying and we're good to go.
Taking daughter to a skin graft review at lunchtime- may hit the big Asda in that city on the way back to buy her a duvet.
Lift share friend is going there on his own tonight (I'll be in the next county at the hospital with daughter) to finish putting the frame together and then I'll do the slats myself tomorrow after work. Once her bed is up then I'm going to get the walls painted as the next task on the list (I don't mind moving in whilst my bed is in pieces and just sleep on the mattress on the floor the first night if I have to. Another work friend (who gave me the bed on Monday) also gave me a double duvet and all the bedding from that bed (she's upgraded hers to a king) so I just need to pick up some curtains for my room. I'm thinking marketplace or failing that- reasonably priced Asda ones.
When I went yesterday all the doors had been hung and all the upstairs room doors had door handles on. Tom (name of the contractor- met him the other day) is fitting the downstairs door handles and the two upstairs curtain rails on Friday. I've agreed separately with work friend that I'll take the old doors to the tip in my car as work friend was planning on burning them in the garden this weekend but I'm not keen on that idea (plus I don't think you're allowed to technically do that and I don't think it's the best way to ingratiate myself with the people living in the village.) I'm going to take 5 of them today on way to pick up daughter and then take the other 5 tomorrow after work.
Also got another cat booking for next month- so far I'm going to make £210 in April from cat sitting!Bottom line;

Ooh @Kakiste this is so exciting! You're on the home run in every sense. I was going to reply yesterday re soon-to-be ExH's behaviour but got diverted looking for my violin. It is hard to find as the world's smallest; unaccountably, it has become invisible when I want to play it for him. Love Humdinger xx4
