Fab! Thanks @Kakiste; sending you good vibes. I thought of you today when reading about R*wings experience with her EXH; he tried to keep the HP manuscript locked away from her as he knew it was her route out. We're all here for you love Humdinger xx2

Yep half terms are always difficult to get access
My mum was invited up at the end of the week but she extended it to 2 days so that was my Thursday/Friday taken up. My heating broke at the beginning of the week so I spent all of Wednesday waiting in the house for a repairman and my car was in the garage all Tuesday to have the washer fixed which has been an issue for a number of weeks. So all in all really lucky I went to measure on Monday!
Going away with my in laws was really nice we weren't far from home- ironically about 2 miles away from where we stayed with my mum last year. Daughter got to play with her cousin a lot. I felt quite sad that it's likely the last time I'll spend any time with my in laws but it will be worth the trade off (and you never know what the future holds I guess)
Carpets are going in today at the house and then my new neighbour can start moving her stuff across. Work friend reckons she'll be done by the weekend but I'm waiting until I have the key in my hand and an empty cottage before I can start moving on anything. The two classroom lockers I have and a friend's garage are looking rather full at the moment! (Hilariously I opened one of the locker doors to get my phone out at the end of one lesson this morning and one of the year 9s said "Miss why have you got a stack of books in there?" to which I replied "that's the Restricted section"To which he called me a massive nerd and left. I've missed the kids loads last week- nice to catch up today.
Bottom line;

Saved Escape fund and moved out.

Wonderful to hear from you @Kakiste! Onto the home run now...literally and metaphorically. These glitches always accumulate at critical points. I think exh family will want to keep in touch but even if they don't, there's an overwhelming imperative here. Love Humdinger xx1

Sounds like you will be in your new place quite soon. Good you have the options of storing stuff elsewhere as I would imagine once you have broken the news to your ex it will be a difficult atmosphere. Currently I've managed to get the following things out of the house already;
All of mine and my daughter's important documents/ID etc
All documents from or to do with work/bills/DMP/car/current house
bedding for both myself and daughter,
50% of my books (I rearranged bookshelves a month ago so that all the books currently on display are ones that I wouldn't be too bothered if I had to leave behind)
cushions and throws
kitchen stuff (pots/pans/cutlery/bowls/dishes) - basically a full but slightly limited kitchen set up.
personal trinkets
daughter's baby/toddler memory box
my laptop (needed for exam marking in July)
Various personal trinkets/gifts I've been bought
spare phone charger
Additionally there's a sofa, futon, slow cooker and bread bin that I've been given that are being stored in my friend's garage
I still need to move the following things; (though most are packed up and ready to go (I'm waiting until he gets in the shower in the morning- gives me at least 15 minutes and then moving one or two bags from my car to the car boot in the first 3-4 minutes- worked very well this morning.)
microwave (this can just be carried out as he just thinks it's going to work)
work laptop (this can just be carried out as he just thinks it's going to work)
spare clothes/school uniform and shoes for daughter
jewellery
shoes
PJs
spare clothes/PJs and shoes for my daughter
spare coat
mugs/glasses
spare cat beds
summer stuff (wetsuits/river shoes)
Christmas decorations
I will then need to wait until the last minute to move the following things; (because they are on prominent display and can't be moved without risking notice or being really obviously gone.
Some of daughter's clothes/shoes/books/uniform/toiletries
my clothes
my shoes
memory box
a painting
rest of books
my xbox games
my DVDs
and most importantly; the cats and the cat stuff
If I get the key on Friday afternoon or Saturday then I'll wait until he's gone out to do his hobby session Saturday lunchtime, drop my daughter off and then move the cats and most of the last list of stuff then whilst he's out and then come back later on my own to tell him I'm out. (That's if the Saturday timings work- they may not so please no-one make any assumptions that I'm definitely doing anything that day and then fret at no response- it all hinges on new neighbours move out)Bottom line;
