I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.2 -

"The Phone is advertised as waterproof that's it."Will you insert a link to where the phone is advertised as "waterproof"?I think advertisers/manufacturers are walking on thin ice if a product is promoted as waterproof.Wristwatches used to be sold as "waterproof" until that had to be changed to "water resistant" to whatever depth of water/liquid.

Here is the official line from Apple: "iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are splash, water and dust resistant"
They have never claimed it is waterproof and never will.1 -

As right now you're just talking to an empty room and moaning.1 -
There are YouTube videos where someone takes an iPhone and dunks it in water, I understand one is even taken on a dive and still worked. That is a whole world away from a manufacturer stating a product is waterproof. As others have mentioned, Apple state "water resistant", which is not the same as water proof. You can understand that something made specifically for diving, such as a diving watch, will be covered under warranty for water ingress, but a phone is not designed for that and the manufacturer has no way of knowing whether you got the phone wet in a shower of rain, cleaned it with a pressure washer, or dropped it over the side of a boat into 100 foot of water...1
