Caravan park?

Driving to other destinations was in the context of "encourage people to take more and even unlimited amounts of outdoor exercise." So it seems unlikelyDickieg1 said:In his speech tonight Boris Johnson said from Wednesday we can exercise more and drive to other places with family members does this mean I can go down my caravan with my wife in Wales as long as we social distance ourselves?0 -
Caravan parks are on the "must close" list of businesses except for people who live in the caravan permanently or they are providing temp accomodation iaw the list of exemptions for hotels (eg attend funeral, critical workers away from home)Dickieg1 said:But the caravan park is saying it's open?

Lovely place and we'll be back when it is safe.1 -
FYI - You can check your likely exposure to CV19 here. Seems that parks are generally low - about 14 on a scale of 1-100. Dental nurses score 98 compared to 91 for NHS nurses.

If the decisions are "science led" then the police should be asking about drivers occupation and not purpose.
Not trying to deny there are risks with holidaymakers. Just trying to add some [government generated] science to it.- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's and their rules apply.

Updated guidance should be issued at 2pm, but that may well be for England only. Scotland, Wales and NI have not changed their approach, so even if visits to caravans are permitted in England, it doesn't look likely to happen in Wales.0

Welsh Government: People have been warned they are not allowed to drive from England into Wales for exercise.

But if they did that the general public would realise that having 4 governments is a job creation exercise for politicians and a waste of public moneyDickieg1 said:I know this is a super virus but I doubt wether it would know if it was in Wales or England, so maybe it's time all four governments of the UK got together and sorted something out2 -
There is a golf course that is half in England and half in Wales, that will remain shut due to the differing rules.47Revisited said:Welsh Government: People have been warned they are not allowed to drive from England into Wales for exercise.

It was also on the news this morning that whilst people in England can now travel they shouldn't be going to Scotland or Wales for leisure purposes.47Revisited said:Welsh Government: People have been warned they are not allowed to drive from England into Wales for exercise.

I'll be very interested to read what (if any) changes are made to the Coronavirus Regulations and the associated statutory instruments. Seemingly nothing in Johnson's speech last night actually changed anything substantial. Construction and manufacturing, the two examples cited, were always allowed to be open even though many firms may have chosen to idle. He didn't suggest any of the businesses he ordered shuttered in March could reopen at all. You were always allowed to exercise as a household. The 1hr a day thing was a suggestion by Gove, albeit a sensible one that most people accepted.
