Caravan park?

In his speech tonight Boris Johnson said from Wednesday we can exercise more and drive to other places with family members does this mean I can go down my caravan with my wife in Wales as long as we social distance ourselves?

Wait till the updated guidance is released tomorrow.  At the moment no one has much of a clue what it means. And the Welsh may interpret the rules differently.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Boris also said that hospitality businesses would not open until July at the earliest.  I assume the caravan park is hospitality.

Thanks. What I can't understand is whose advice do I take I live in the west Midlands but live closer to where my caravan is in north Wales than I do to london.

  • Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland appear to have continued with the existing "Stay At Home" message so you need to bear that in mind when more information comes out.
"Health minister Vaughan Gething tweeted that there had been no discussion or agreement about the UK Government’s new slogan with the other three nations of the UK.

“I’ve seen the media briefings and changed message for England. There has not been a four nations agreement or discussion on this,” he tweeted.

He said the Welsh Government message had not changed, with people urged to stay home and to follow social distancing rules if they do go outside.

If your caravan is in Wales and the Welsh Assembly decides to stick to a stricter lockdown,  then clearly you'd go with that.

Actually open, or just says on a website that they never updated?

To be honest I've a feeling they are saying they are open as up until now potentially I've not been able to go there and see if they are open or not, this giving them an excuse not to refund any of my ground rent

Well the last I looked at a map, West Midlands is in England so you are governed from Westminster

Wales are banging their own drum

Boris said that you can go out within ENGLAND and sit and picnic, walk on the beach, sit on a seat

Pretty certain he didn't say anything about crossing borders and going on holiday

Also  Wales is still on full lockdown so expect to be turned back

I know this is a super virus but I doubt wether it would know if it was in Wales or England, so maybe it's time all four governments of the UK got together and sorted something out
