  • So I had an idea.... maybe if I could find the original thread where I private messaged said individual, I could contact them that way:

    Something has gone wrong.

    We've run into a problem and are unable to handle this request right now.
    Please check back in a little while.


    Search is broken. Why can't they just return my account to me :(

    Two thoughts .
    One would your posts be on the wayback machine .
    Two log in details user name still held in browser . Usually found under Options Privacy and Security > passwords and logins .

    I am going to e-mail the forum team again. I really do remain hopeful that someone can resolve this for me. It'll be more or less impossible to reconnect with those I was in private discussion with and especially difficult as I need to reconnect at this time. Come on Board Admins, help me out please :(
    There are no Board Admins , as I said previously, the way to get hold of the forum team is by email.

    I don't really understand this. Why can't they validate me? I can provide plenty of evidence to prove my legitimate ownership... Plus email addresses can be compromised and regularly are.

    Because all the messages that went out to us prior to the new forum was to verify us from our email address that we registered with and we were all told that we had to ensure it was up to date and warned of us losing our accounts. Not sure how you can provide plenty of evidence that its your account if you dont have the email address anymore, imagine if the forum team reinstated an account that was never yours and  you were able to see all their old pm's etc
    I would personally set up a former account so your regular people who you were in contact with can see its you, Thats assuming that they are still on here.

    These messages are in the private inbox. I know my own account name, just not theirs.

    Personally I would draw a line under it and set up a former account or also as previously discussed, email the forum team again. I know they are busy dealing with reports and the fast moving current situations but I am sure they will get back to you at some point and help if they can.
