Oh interesting, I didn't see that in the forum rules! Is there a way of getting my post back without retyping it?

Not that I know of... (I'm not a mod or guide, BTW.)

That's frustrating. Ok, thanks!Since I can post links now, I thought I'd share a link to my blog where I originally wrote about this:I'll follow that up shortly with some details of my switch rather than retyping my post on here!2

An interesting read. I certainly wouldn't advise trying Symbio with dual MPANs, even if they had enough customers. They're incompetent at handling a single MPAN on a single traiff and struggle with fundamental things like multiplication and addition!!

Thanks @matelodave, glad you found it interesting! Also, reposting my post which got deleted, minus my referral link:Good news on this: I've finally managed to switch away from scottishpower. I switched to octopus energy and, while there were some teething problems (they didn't seem well set up for handling dual-MPAN meters), I'm finally online with them. Even better, they've offered me a dual-rate tariff: they've applied their usual economy 7 tariff with my day reading on their day rate, and my night and heating readings on their night rate. I'm pretty pleased with this considering they're only legally required to offer me a single rate tariff! If anyone else on the same kind of meter is interested to try octopus, let me know by PM and I can give you more details! I'm not sure exactly what the policy is regarding referrals on this forum and I've already had this post removed for including a referral link so probably best to just PM me if you want details - otherwise I'll write about it on my blog.I'm still trying to raise awareness of these meters generally, so I have a local charity who work on fuel poverty who I'm planning to contact about this, to make sure there's more information available for people on restricted meters.

Octopus (and their related brands) are definitely the way to go now!
Managed to get onto their Economy 7 tariff with an Economy 9 meter. Going to have a slightly more expensive standing charge (as they are charging on 2 MPANs), but the higher usage is going to off-set the amount and save myself some money.0 -
