try it vertical on the stand as that sems to have less problems ive read .

I had a similar problem but found it to be happening due to not having much room between the front of the Wii and the TV stand. Not sure i can explain this well, but it looks like the Wii needs to eject so much of the disc out before you can take it, and in my situation it couldn't do that, so it wouldn't let me take the disc and took it back into the machine again at which point I couldn't get it out. I think I powered the Wii off and on again and then the problem with the disc not being able to come out happened again, but I moved the console back a few inches and the disc came out. The problem has not happened again..

Did you try powering off and on?

It's good to see people getting help with their problems on MSE, but perhaps they would be better posted in the technical forum.
I like many others keep seeing new posts on this thread and check in the hope of some new info re WIIs spotted somewhere just to see more people posting to say lucky them, they found a couple but no help to anyone else.

I have vouchers for Game to get a wii, does anyone know when they will get them back in stock? I'm in the Manchester area, the phone number for the one at trafford centre seems to be constantly engaged.

Has anyone on here heard of a UK version of the Wii being supplied without Wii Sports? I thought this was standard whatever deal you got but a friend of a friend says they didn't get one. Anyone else see a deal without Wii Sports?

they should of got one and probably did. it's now shipped in a cardboard wallet instead of a plastic case. ALL wiis come with wii sports. some private sellers are taking them out though and have been selling them individually on ebay over xmas.

Hiya, snap this happened to me on xmas day too

I ordered from amazon.de and have had the exact same problem!!! I have gone down the route of contacting Nintendo (after being on hold for 25 mins) they are sending me a packet out so I can send my console to them and they will repair it.

Did email amazon.de as you have to do the online returns item request, where you can have either a refund or replacment, asked for a replacement, but they wanted me to call there office number to confirm my billing/delivery details, but not sure if this is due to them no longer shipping to the UK. Decided to get Nintendo to fix it. You can return items to Amazon.de till the end of Jan.
