Are people still looking for Wiis? Gamestation are excellent to deal with, instore. Noticed online that they have deals starting at 299 withWii sports(free included with console) 1 game of their choice + a memory card + any 3games of your choice.
The 'knock off Nigels' that bought up all the consoles they could in October November caused this. They even stirred up the hype by going onto forums saying that EBay was the only place to get them, and lying about supplies from Nintendo. The press got hold of it and made it worse, causing some poor suckers to pay well over the odds. Thing is if people waited the stores were overflowing with them before Christmas. Christmas eve, every game/electrical shop I went into had them in abundance, just as Nintendo said they would.
Had to laugh tho as people got wise on EBay and you could see the Wiis going for less than RRP.

confirmation invoice come though email, but it does state that "Please note that acceptance of your order takes place when it leaves our warehouse"

    fingers crossed it works x

    this site alerted me http://wii.consolehunter.com/DesktopStockAlerter.aspx

Has anyone bought from microdirect before? I have seen some wii's on there and wondered if they were ok as I've never heard of them before.

I've not used them or even looked lately, but they are generally european wii's..with the 2 pin plug..& very overpriced for just the basic console.
  • If anyone is looking for European spec 2 pin Wiis , I can get hold of them for £190-200 inc. VAT (with VAT invoice)

If there is some interest here I can help out those who are interested :)

John Lewis creates a new bundle/webpage each time they get some stock in. Therefore no stock checking websites will be aware of that bundle. I'm just greatful www.!!!!!! knew about the incoming stock so I was ready for them this time :T

The other stock checking site you mentioned in an earlier post did spot that bundle. Only 3 posts and 2 links to instockuk. hmmm

I've ordered a lot of PC parts from them in the past and they've always been very reliable. However their Wii prices are a bit OTT.

You can buy Wii consoles direct from Amazon.fr (France) with next day delivery for approx £190 .

Log into your Amazon uk account and add your preferred delivery address but select your country as "France" from the drop down list. Next log into Amazon.Fr and place your order selecting the delivery address you have just created.
The order should be with you the next day via TNT!

Open the box, cut off the two pin plug, fit a proper UK plug and your laughing.
The packaging and instructions are in English and the warranty is valid with Nintendo UK.

The site only allows you to order one console at a time but I ordered two before Christmas and several friends ordered them too.
Any problems with the language can be overcome using "Babelfish" translation.
