Thanks Sparky .. why are they selling Wii's on ebay with receipts then? Is it just to prove they have bought them from a particular place or do you get extended warranty?

I think maybe people will feel more comfortable with a receipt.

Some larger stores may replace a faulty item butI suppose it depends on how long you have had it & whether they have any stock to replace it with. It may help too if a present is duplicated.

Warranty length is the same, but I believe if the console is registered online you receive an additional 90 days warranty. I haven't put it to the test yet.

I have looked at what i would need to register on Nintendo UK, & it's the PIN on the card in the box, no receipt as far as I can see, but as I say, I have not completed the process yet.

Those who rang John Lewis back to apply the £20 discount code, did you receive an email ?.

I have just received this email but i'm not sure if the discount is only applied to my CC when the goods are returned or if it has been credited back now ?.

The code I used was festive20 for the £211 something bundle.

Wether something is cost price or not, you should not be selling anything on this board !

If the moderators would care to intervene that would be appreciated.

Otherwise I will see it as a free for all & start selling here too!

no it is any goods, but they sure show favouritism to ebay buyers.

    Oh grow up!

People are helping other MSE'ers out here for christmas, no one is ripping anyone off, we're helping each other to avoid being ripped off on ebay.

This thread has had massive views and goes to show how many want a Wii, and if we can help a bit, then everyone's happy. We're not auctioning anything, just a transcation against 2 mse'ers.

    Merry Christmas
