Provided they believe you then it should be covered for up to £500 if the account had good feedback, and the money has gone from the account.

Often accounts with good feedback are taken over by phishing to do this sort of stuff.

Accounts can look unregistered for other reasons, Mine says im no longer registered, but not because im a scammer. If your account gets hacked it is suspended for a while and will show not registered, if you forget to pay the fees it will show not registered as well. Sure theres a few other reasons as well.
