No, she's right. Ebay do very little. maybe a warning, I don't know. I've been on ebay for 7 years & have seen & reported some very obvious, blatant & even excessive shill bidding. Nothing has ever happened to these accounts. Also, the more powerful the seller, the less likely anything is to happen, I'm sure.

I couldn't bring myself to shill bid but I do feel uncomfortable with ebay hiding the bidders identities. I think it makes all auctions look as though they have been shilled, whether they have or not.

If I were to shill bid you can bet I would end up winning the damn thing, lol.

Aye. Thats always the problem !!!!

Well you are right that the supply is there - over 9,000 items listed now versus 6,000 a few months ago. But the average price is still going up. roughly £275 is the average for a Wii delivered. This is because demand still far exceeds supply in the run up to Christmas.

Probably, but it doesnt change the fact that its up to buyers what to bid. They set the market price. the shortage will continue well into the new year so no one is worried about selling up by Xmas.

Actually thats when by far the most bidders are around so probably the worst time to look for a bargain.

And the moon is made of blue cheese.

And a next day courier costs about £5. But still dont be surprised to pay £25.

    £5 !!!!! Seriously - please tell me where ????

So how'd you get the total listed now and how'd you work out the average price ???

How about the most money? Just seen one go for £298 !

I never understand how some seem to go for loads and some for next to nothing. Why is that?

If you send a lot of parcels and I mean a lot for a home seller, then DHL will do it for £5 under 30KG. The downside is it is not guaranteed next day, it is a 1-2 day service and the insurance is low or non existant, £100.

If you kept reading he's already said, get yourself a courier account and ship 50+ items a day and you'll get good prices :p

Alternatively try somewhere like Parcel2Go which are usually fairly competitive for single items http://www.parcel2go.com/parceldelivery-uk.aspx

Hi, get a courier account and ship 50+ parcels a day...

You can get closer to it though.

    £10.50 for DHL from here:

    http://www.interparcel.com/quote/courier-quote2.php

    Or £6.85 here

    http://www.mhdirectcouriers.co.uk/services/?browse&catid=1%20-%20England/England%20A%20-%20Under%205%20Kgs

I've used Interparcel before - very good. It does cost £5 extra for additional insurance cover (over £50 if I remember correctly).

That mhdirect link has some good prices. Web site is a bit ropey though - for instance can you add insurance to a DHL package (it says Parcelforce only ???)

Then you just do a mutual cancel.

Thats how ebay detect most shill bidding - multiple mutual cancels.
