Why are the retailers to blame for the shortage?
Because they didn't limit the amount you could buy.
I have only bought from two retailers.
Amazon, who I'm told have a limit of 3 per month, well I bought slighly more.
A shop, whose staff had been instructed directly from head office that it was strictly one Wii per customer. Yet the staff were quite happy to sell you as many as you liked as long as no one else was around, and it was one per card transaction. If there was people around all you had to do was buy, put in car and then repeat the process.
All the retailers had to do was say one per customer. This can be checked by address/card no/if you see me back in the skop 10 mins later then tell me to !!!!!! off0 -

They told me that as they were loading for delivery at my end that morning, it was checked off against 'a list' and it had come to light that one had already been delivered to that address, so it had been stopped and was being sent back. (There was almost a one month gap)
A pity they didn't bother checking against 'the list' before they charged your credit card, packed the order, started to load for delivery, etc - it would have saved JL a lot of effort and you disappointment! She told me she was very sorry, but NIntendo would not let them send more than one to each customer.
I knew then it was a load of cobblers, but hey ho. As I've said I'm OK now, I've had what I need..just addicted.;)0 -
On the issue of Shill bidding - as you no doubt know, it's against Ebay rules and they'll close your account if they find out. Just because there's a lot of it going on doesn't make it right. A lot of people have their cars nicked, but that doesn't make it right does it?
No they won't close you account, I know people who have been caught (but they are powersellers) and they were just reminded of the policy. I do it because of the reserve price fees, ebay and paypal have done very nicely out of me recently.0 -
Just found wii's available from Mobile Fun, with sports accessories and remote charger for £319.95, bit expensive but if you really want one then good luck!
P.S. Just put one in my basket at 7.30 P.M so they must still have one left!0 -

My thoughts exactly.
Yup, as you say, a load of cobblers. Did you call her on that?
No, I didn't bother. That's when I knew they were just making excuses & I wouldn't get anywhere, they'd just think of another. I just shopped elsewhere.0 -
Just been offered a chipped one with 10 games for £320 delivered but don't know if I should or not ???0
