DS Lites - post all avalibility here for these consoles - 2

I have just bought (7/12/07, 3pm) a Silver Nintendo DS Lite from Tesco Extra in Irlam, Manchester. When I bought mine they had 5 left in stock, and more were due to be delivered! Worth ringing the electrical desk...be quick!!

My husband went to try and get me a Pink DS for xmas, everywhere had sold out so I rang Game and they had the consoles alone for £99.99 plus bundles available so I ended up going and getting it myself.

I cant believe the ridiculous bundles now, we bought our son a white one in October from Toys r us for £99.99 with an accessory set and a game of his choice from a list ( he got a sims game) I got just the console for this price! Crazy!

A bit steep but Ok if the games are suitable, though I am pretty sure they offered me the same deal instore on Tuesday for £149.99!

Depends what you want, cos it's only available in a bundle, but as of yesterday most gamestation stores had loads of DS lites in - I spoke to 2 in the North East (Ashington & Washington) & both had all 3 colours in stock, even though it doesn't show on their website. The bundle is £149.99 but for that you get: the console in either black, white or pink; the DS lite starter pack (which contains 2 spare styluses, a sock to store the console in, plastic screen protectors and a games storage box); any game of your choice; one game out of brain training, more brain training or sight training; and for some obscure reason you get a cd/dvd case. I was offered the choice of a pacman case, a super mario 3 case, or a yoshi case.

Personally I don't think that's a bad package considering the games retail at approx £25 anyway - it means if you factor the 2 games in you're basically getting the starter pack & cd case for free. Of course the downside is one of the games is a very limited choice, although the fact that the other game is any of your choice is better than most packages I've come across!

I'd recommend you phone the stores first to check stock though - they'll quite happily tell you over the phone if the store has any DS lites but the 2 stores I spoke to wouldn't reserve one for me, which was ok as I could pick it up straight away but may not be so good if you've got to travel a distance to get to a store - there is the risk they could have sold out by the time you get there. The individual store numbers are listed on the gamestation website: www.gamestation.co.uk Apparently each store gets deliveries every day, but they never know if there'll be DS lites and/or wiis on the delivery until it turns up, so keep trying!

my brother just picked me up a black ds for £99.99 in Birmingham airport he says they had black and pink so other airports might stock them too!! My local gamestation had them in stock in Rochdale but only the bundles and im sure they were more than £150 think they were £170!!!

FACT - GAME now own Gamestation.
GAME sell the DS for £99.99 and bundles starting at £109. GAME are out of stock.
Gamestation sell bundles only starting at £150. Gamestation have loads of stock.
