Hi all i tried it at 3pm today said your eligible claim date 8am 14 may ???? Hope so0

Hi Splatfoot - Thank you - I found the eligibility tool - entered UTR & NI numbers - confirmed i was eligible..However it then said to sign in to the gateway to confirm contact details ( i already have a gateway account where i pay my FLAT RATE VAT returns ) - so i signed in there, but got following message ...
You must sign in using a Government Gateway account that is not associated with a business.
If you do not have a Government Gateway account you can register for one.
Which is a bit confusing, why should i need another Gateway account ?!?
Dont know whether it affects anything, but i have an agent ( my accountant ) who submits my Self-Assessment Returns, but as above i submit Flat Rate Vat returns myself quarterly..

I should be eligible. Meet all requirements but tool said not eligible. I rang and was told that I cannot claim because I am in receipt of state pension. There's no mention anywhere on the HMRC / Gov site about this. In fact it mentions pensions as non-earned income. Anyone else in this position?0
-
State pension is other income, and it may mean you fail the 50% test.0

anyone know what happens now, it says can claim 13th May but how do we apply?0
