Andan, don't get too down. I'm same as you in that I'm not making much headway at the moment but at least I'm not going backwards! I've posted a book on GreenMetropolis so hopefully I'll get a sale there. OH has just told me I'm cooking for 5 people tonight. Good job I batch cooked some lasagne the other night and if they don't like it......tough!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Great news guesty, what a great boost
good luck with your dinner party unixgirl, I'm sure they'll love it!
Andan, not like you to be down, ok it's horrible to be using money you could be using to pay things/or for something nice, but at least you aren't borrowing it, or going into debt.
Have a lovely time visiting your family & keep your chin up:T
Have put £275 into savings today, bit of a cheat as I know Hubby has spent some whilst away, not sure how much ( he doesn't seem to think I need to know:mad: just get an email saying I've taken some money out - how much? £100 or £100,000!!!! your guess is as good as mine, no wonder we got in debt), so savings will probably go down again, but need to add it to make me feel better for now!Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Hi everyone.
I'm having a really busy time at work, so haven't been able to concentrate on the challenge much. Next week is the same, but after that (hopefully) things will quieten down and I can really get moving on this.
I should be able to update my totals over the next two weeks and add a fair chunk. My signature does look a bit sad at the moment compared to most of yours (but at least it's going in the right direction!). I actually think I might make it to payday without completely running out of money (as long as I don't go doolally) so that's an improvement.
Welcome to anyone joining and well done everyone.
Have a good day.

Ok, I have £7000 of debt that I owe my Grandparents for my Car. It's interest free and they're not in any rush for it back. I intend to pay them back ASAP though.
My intention is to save £400 a month until it's been paid - however , I want to set a goal of £3500 by Christmas this year, and have the whole thing paid off by June next year.
Please let me join!0 -

Lamarsie - well done at the whittling! Same here; in fact, although I said I'd update in a couple of weeks, inspired by you all I've just paid another £20 off my miscellaneous debt. Once it's gone, it's gone and I'll just have to make what's left stretch the month.
