Evening all, still no news from me!! However just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone and a big congrats to Kizzy, you must feel fantastic!! Can't wait till payday when i can pay myself back for all the mystery shopping payments etc that have been paid but haven't been sent to my savings account ready for end of 0% deals. Am amazed at how well my money has lasted though and now that i have handed my notice in at work its going to have to last a lot longer!

Have picked up three mystery shops today though so that will help me along the way.

Everyone is doing really well and its such a good motivator seeing everyone regularly post as it keeps me interested in this challenge, especially during tight months like this when i see very little improvements to my total.

  • I have £1542 of payments coming out on Tuesday but it feels like it is SUCH a long way away, all my payments go out then and I will be clearing my Egg CC - I can't wait, once that is gone I will only have three debts left (even if they are fairly chunky ones - lol).

The month will be tight but I shall have to just be super careful.

PS - big congrats to Kizzy, great news!

    hello lovelies!

My apologies for joining and then vanishing, but I've been trying really hard to spend more of my spare time earning extra dosh and less gossiping on't internet! :D

I've made myself a new rule that I do what's on my eBay To Do List before I even look at MSE, but I appear to be breaking it just at the moment. :o:D (but I have done some of it. :wall: ) I really should drag my carcass down to the Post Office, but you know when you just can't be @r$ed??? ;):D

Anyway, I've been working quite hard at it - and even though eBay is a law unto itself and things I think will do well, don't and some random collections of junk incite a bidding war - I've managed to pay off a decent chunk of debt from my eBayness this month.

We didn't do our planned carboot at Easter cos it was snowing and hailing and my already reluctant family collectively refused! (I was kinda relieved!)

Easter eggs notwithstanding we did Ok on the Grocery Challenge this month too, which frees up a little more cash, and we actually managed to get back on target and catch up with The Plan this month so we are now... sub £20k!

So if I can just manage to pay off about £2200 a month between now and Christmas.....!

(out of our £2600 a month take home plus eBay, waitressing, and babysitting etc  )

Yeah I know, I'm deluded, but you've got to aim high huh?

Right... I'm going for a catch up to see how everybody else is doing, just as soon as I fetch another :coffee:

    Take care all,

    Love Jacks xxx :D

  • Hi everyone, thanks for congrats!!
Poor&indenial that's great news, the last 3 weeks dragged for me too waiting for things to go through & waiting another week to pay off the last £200, seemed to take forever.
Well done on getting under 20k Jacks & good luck to the rest of you new & old.
My Son has had slapped cheek syndrome, just a virus that makes you a bit under the weather & then gives you bright red cheeks, have been extremely tired myself the last few days, hope I'm not going to end up with bright red cheeks too! So going to go to bed as really tired, have a great evening ;)
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Well pleased to report that we have managed for 2 months after making an overpayment of £500 (bringing total debt repayments each month to £950  ) Anyway after reading Jacks post I worked out that I needed to pay of £1383 a month (feel a little ill just typing that) so a fresh approach is needed. As Taxi says we need to aim high - so have also signed up for the 'Make £10 a day in April Challenge.
I have a bit of extra work lined up in April and if weather inproves will do a carboot sale.
    Good luck everyone
  • Well done KizzyKizzyWizzy!!!!!!! :T :T :T :T

I've been away for a few days and its wonderful to return to such fantastic news!!!!!!! You must be over the moon and sooo excited about starting saving!

I've knocked another £200 off my debt since payday and have spend loads of time doing daily clicks and free clicks on quidco - will add that money in when it reaches my account. Also, I finally started using ebay! For a no faffing challenge, its taken me months to get around to it but I'm so happy I've fianlly done it cos I made £28 in a few days! I've got stacks of stuff to get listed and can't wait to see the cash coming in and the junk going out!!

welcome to everyone new and keep posting your inspiring progress here for us all to celebrate with you

Well done to everyone..you are all doing fantastic..it's a great feeling seeing it all go down...
  • Morning everyone.

Well, back to work for me today and a busy time coming up, so I might have to concentrate on that for a while. I did spend last week frantically clicking and comping, so hoping my total might suddenly shoot up over the next couple of months.

Failed miserably in the March ebay challenge. Think I'm just going to plod along with Ebay and Amazon, but try to collect the 'pennies' I'm making until I have £50 or so; it just seems to disappear into everyday spending otherwise.

I've paid another £50 back to a friend - it's coming down slowly but surely.

    Well done everyone.

    Polly
