Hi Andan...I wake up every day at stupid o clock!!!!..today it was an earthquake at 1am!!!! ....it was quite bad here it shook DH in his chair!!!..really weird.
Well done on the pay off....I will update my sig later...as one of my loans is due out today.
  • Dont worry about being up late guys....nowt wrong with it in my book. However, I tend to work awkward shifts, so if I'm not up at this time of night, I'll usually be getting up for the early shift in two hours time. Not the ideal life....but then again I'm not convinced the drudge of rush hour is worth going back to the 9-5 for!
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Just wondered, is anyone counting payments off secured debt or mortgages (repayment) here?
No longer using this account for new posts from 2013
  • I asked that at the beginning, the concensus was that mortgage payments aren't included. :) (and there went my plan for paying off £20K!)

I don't count my mortgage payments and I don't have any secured loans either.
  • Hi
Can i join this challenge please? I've just read through the thread and it's really inspiring! You've all done so well so far.

I would like to save £10,000 by Christmas to offset my student loans. I reckon I can save £500 per month, and get about £50 per month interest on the student loans which I have the majority stoozed. That makes £5500 from saving and £550 from interest. I also expect a bonus of about £2000 at Christmas. That means I'm about £2000 short of target to make up from other means. I hope joining this challenge will bring me lots of inspiration!
    March 2016 - £178,914.59; July 2017 £146,160.38
Mortgage end Sept 2043; Target - pay off by March 2022, now Sept 2021
    Target balance July 2018 £112,560
