That's one of the reasons I went for £10k instead, it's a big chunk, it'll help a lot but it shouldn't be back-breaking or a struggle. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Well £100 from me paid out today, so its nice to see my total go up, but will be even nicer when i get some of my other monies coming in. Still waiting for payments from matched betting and bingo sites. Only thing is i find myself waiting for payday to come round so i can pay extra off!!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Hi All,
I've had to re-jig my budget cause it was starting to drive me crazy...All I was doing was thinking about money and not living, so I'm not sure I can stick with the challenge for this year. I still need to pay off £17868 by september, but I may need to put some of it on a 0% CC.
I intend to still put money towards it and I still need to earn extra money, I just can't do it to the extent that I was. I will also be putting whatevers left over from my budgeted 'pots' in with the saved amount too.
Anyway, hope that makes sense...not sure what to do about my sig....0 -
Hiya FrankieM, why not just try aiming for a smaller amount, there's quite a few of us aiming for £10,000 or if thats too unrealistic set yourself a smaller amount. Any money paid off is better than no money paid off, just go with what feels right for you.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Hi,
Thanks for that. I know that is a good option, but I don't know what to change my target to..??
I could do half the £17k odd, I guess??? And then just see how it goes....??0 -
I like this challenge (although I don't read the posts very often as my time is taken up with the live off £4K challenge). Anyway, a special effort for Valentine's Day - we have paid an extra £780 off the mortgage today. I feel good.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Hi Everyone
Just a small update. Tomorrow I am (finally) sorting out my stuff to sell and if I get time I will start listing stuff. I have been meaning to do it since last year and I haven't done it and tomorrow is a good opportunity. Got to be ruthless though! One of the things I am considering selling is a pair of black sandals I got last year. I haven't worn them that much, mostly because they are so high they hurt my feet. I could take them on holiday this year but might end up not wearing them for the reason that they make my feet hurt. Should I keep them and take them on holiday or sell them and buy a cheap comfortable pair I am more likely to wear and get my money's worth from? Please give me a kick up the bum, I need to start listing on Ebay but haven't yet coz i've never done it before.0 -

Hi debt free me
I was a bit nervous when I started listing on Ebay, but needed the money so gave it a go. I just started with one thing, so I could get the measure of it. Have to admit, it's a bit tedious preparing the listings - I've got photos ready of stuff, but just can't seem to get myself geared up for writing the descriptions. On the other hand, I really enjoyed watching my auctions, and I've had no bad experiences so far (touch wood).
Sell those sandals and go for comfortable cheapies.
