    Well done Hypno..fantastic news.
  • Everyone's doing really well! Well done Hypno. Not much for me till my usual payments come out. This will be my last car laon payment! I can't wait. Thanks to Pania's advice I've managed to reduce another bill and am in the process of sorting that one out. It'll save me nearly £14 a month.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

  • Hi all, sorry this might be a long post. I've just worked out that I have not been around since May!!! Please give me a slap on the wrist. I serously lost my way along the DFW path. I've been trying to catch up with all the posts but have only read up to page 58.... So keep up the good work every one!!! Well done to the people who have reached their target.

Since my last post I've sorted out payment arrangements with my creditors (aren't they a happy bunch!) but that means that I have reduced my payments. I've finally sorted out my bedroom with carpet (I wasn't using it for ages, sleeping in the living room and though it was a crap room to dump everything in) but on the plus side 1. my OH paid for the carpet with his overtime money and 2. I found loads of old crap to go on ebay ready to get me some money for xmas. I've passed my motorbike test, again paid for by my OH just looking at what I can put aside for a bike cos it will be cheaper than my car. And (not sure if this is a good thing) I've got three kittens. They may eat me out of house and home but they have been really good because I've been off work for about 3 weeks (some unknown bug thats going round) and I think I would have gone mad without them (mind you I'm sure my neighbours think I'm mad and I'm talking to myself alot).

On the bad side I got a bit lost with this challenge. I've not increased my debt but its not going down very quickly. I think I have paid off about £5,000 this year, I just keep telling myself it is better than racking up more debts. And as I said I've been off work for about 3 weeks and that means that I'm going to have no money next month to pay my debts... I'm not really sure what to do about that. I may have a nice surprise and work might pay me my full wages (I can hope).

One good thing is that in the last few months I have been really good at sticking to my budget I just need to train my husband with that now that he has finally moved over to the sunny IOW to be with me (only 8 months late... and just when I was enjoying living on my own)

  • Hi guys it's my first ever post and i can't think of a better one to join! I have a 0% credit card debt of 3 thousand (bit to much to do in 100 days) so I am going to try and do £1,000 in 100 days. Wish me luck!
