Hi guys have had a little think and although i am by no means bowing out of this challenge, i will probably be putting things on hold slightly as there is very little chance of me doing anything towards this challege at the moment. Any extras i make will literally be going towards living for the month seeing as i got paid £250 less. Its all good though as i am having to pay money off for courses i am doing towards my future so the sacrifices are worth it. I will keep posting on here and as soon as i can i will be back in the game!

Thanks taxi, it is a little frustrating and have been taking advantage of the old style board to see me through, never knew how frugal i could be until i really need to be! Am in the process of trying to get some more part time work lined up so hopefully i'll be back in the challenge before i know it!

    Hi all

Just checking in to post my new totals. I paid off £872.09 this month, am not going to try to pay off any extra this month beacuse of the move but will hopefully be back up to paying about £1200 a month off a month from about August maybe upping it a bit again when my pay goes up in Sempember (even if I cant go back to the heady heights of £1600 a month)

EDIT to add: I have just done some sums and if I stick to £872 this month and next month and then go for £1250 each month for the rest of the year I will still have paid £17728.70 by the end of the year. Much better than I feared.

Right - my new target is £18k although I will leave £20k in my siggy to see if I can make it, but I will only be disappointed if I fall short of £18k. Oooh I feel a lot better about it now.

Another £235 paid off this morning (loan), got my balance text this morning (its free) and its so nice actually seeing a real difference in my balance! Hypno I saw your idea about the squares on another thread i.e. divide your debt up into squares of £50 or £100 and each time you meet that colour it in. I really liked this idea, so think I'm going to give it a go not for my whole debt but the nasty cc I have. Spur me on to get rid of it.Its the one mentioned in my signature. I'm not making that uch extra at the moment and the next few weeks will be tight but I'll manage and I really appreciate the support on this thread.

I managed to get a 0% 15month credit card deal so that will nicely take care of my credit card (0% offer running out this month) was worried about the interest swallowing a huge chunk of the payment anf extending my DFD but now it looks OK - yippee (and like a good DFW I have factored in the BT fee and I am still MUCH better off this way).
