I was supposed to be going to court with OPS on the 24th (translated due to COVID), but sent my bundle in with a couple of days to spare according to the original instructions from the court. Quoted this case and included a copy and... they've discontinued.
At what point does this sort of behaviour on their part become an offence?

Ooh, was this yet another discontinuance in Sussex? We are seeing loads.
It is not an offence to start a court claim, waste a consumer's time then discontinue. However, you will get a chance to make public comments about the draft statutory Code of Practice for private parking that the BSI will put out for public consultation this Summer. People's real experiences of being harassed by PPCs and what they think needs to be done differently, as long as they are written as constructive comments, would be a good way to be heard.
