Today I am grateful for a good day's work, for showing that I'd read some documentation by asking a 'good question' in our online staff meeting, for a quick catch up with a neighbour, for dd getting out and about, for discovering that we do indeed have some sugar soap.

Didn't get to sleep until 4 am - I was tired but sleep just wasn't happening. Think I was 'fretting' about all the things I have to do and may have missed. Had a slow day to compensate, I've done what I can, I can't push my body to the limit everyday, felt the need to take a step back and contemplate. Managed to order mum's next lot of pills (several phone calls during the day until I got through). The only outstanding one is a special one and we should be able to sort getting that delivered or collected following mum's telephone appointment with the neurologist tomorrow.
Mum peeled the 5 leftover spuds and I chopped and boiled them. Boiled a pan of eggs and put 6 baking potatoes in the oven. Took sausages and meatballs from the freezer, defrosted them and cooked them. Trying to identify things which are taking up room and have been around a while - the sausages were bought before Easter (mum keeps saying she doesn't eat them).
Watched two episodes of Luther with mum and have started on McMafia myself.
Today I am grateful for a calm day (cooler and much needed relief for my hayfever symptoms), for lovely food to cook (also did a mini shed sort and used up lots of odds and ends), for being a bit more organised, for being able to wear dresses that are 'past their best', for the birds not having attacked the seeds and plants in the greenhouse even though I was late going out to feed them.

Afternoon all, nothing much to report, friend is going in for an induction this evening as they are overdue. LO was also late and I got so annoyed with people messaging asking where the baby is, so just sent my friend a Vulcan greeting in solidarity and will wait for anything more. Keeping fingers crossed it goes well, as her OH cannot be with her after they get moved from the labour ward (due to COVID), so think they are hoping for a speedy discharge so he gets time with baby as well.
Grateful for the seat cover for LO's room fitting and looking lovely, for being able to rant with a work colleague and vent some frustration, and for the brownies I made last night (going to have some for pudding). Hope you sleep better tonight mothernerd6 -

I love today's quote, Apple.
Tidied the larder. Oh dear, there's an awful lot in there that needs using up. No more biscuits to be bought in this household for the foreseeable future. And I wont bore you all again with the story of Himself's chutney obsession.
Every day seem the same at the moment. Like everyone else I feel as if nothing is happening. Nobody is talking about anything but the virus. I'd just like to go for a walk or sit down and have a normal conversation with some one. Still soon hopefully.
What is everyone doing to keep themselves busy? I'm reading a lot and trying to grow herbs and flowers in pots. Neighbours must think I'm mad - I get so excited when I see a minute piece of green poke through the soil.
Just off to put dinner in the oven.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Evening all,
Must admit it's much the same here too. Wracked up one more NSD, spent yesterday on a diffuser and a book - both on sale and on my 'to buy' list so not unexpected spends, just grabbed them when they were a bit cheaper.
Have given the house a good clean including the horror that is my oven! Always feel better when the house is clean. On with some DIY jobs tomorrow in between working.5 -
Today I am grateful for gorgeous sunshine, for sproutlets growing, for dd getting through today's 4 (!) exams, for ebooks, for my workout, for a call from my sister.
