ASB well done, also did he suck air in through his teeth, before scratching his head?I have been right through all money spent for April and set budget for May, it seems I've NOT bought any petrol since 25th March! and I still have just over half a tank (approx 19 lts) left, normally I fill up at least twice a week.............. (189 miles walked for the month of April according to my tracker, no wonder why I needed new shoes)Main money going out of rent / cattery / lock up storage of household items, but on the plus side I am not paying for gas / electric / water / council tax/ petrol / landline phone so sort of good but outgoings are high.Right off to see what the water board are doing or not as the case may be.Kitchen is also doneBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

spent the morning variously wfh or touting for 'likes' for my platter. I don't feel guilty as I can see that my main competition (and it is SO a 2 horse race) is doing likewise because I happen to know who some of her friends are...and the name of her son.
I have just had leftover stew (and it was delicious *licks lips*) for lunch, crushed some candy and now it's time to go and deal with the garden. I've saved my shower for after.

Late on today as we have not had a good start to the day, I am feeling a bit down and I'm in pain as I am now about 6 weeks overdue physio because of everything going on.
I have done some work (I'm on the board of a charity), done more personal money juggling, sorted the kitchen as it looked like a bomb had gone off due to half put away shopping and not cleaning up after dinner last night, drop some shopping off at a friends and sort my desk out in the living room but that's about all I will probably get done today. Will have to catch up on today's list over the weekend.
YL I will keep in fingers crossed for good news
ASB sorry the man couldn't find the problem and come up with a fix, well done you for asking him to leave
Positive vibes all round for everyone

I got up this morning to a filthy kitchen... I am NOT a happy bunny... no excuses for there to be dirty pots everywhere, I couldnt even fill the kettle because the sik was full.. I hate the sink being full of pots it really is one of the things i can not abide.. tantrum to be had.

Afternoon ladies,
Hugs to you Meandthe2. I seemed to dip into a downer earlier, I've just cheered myself up by flinging a load of rubbish out of my kitchen cupboard. Sad but it worked for me 😌
I was disappointed he couldn't fix it but I'm just going to put it out of my head for now, there is only so much my brain can deal with at the moment.
One load of washing dried outside, £7.50ish worth of stuff scanned onto Music Magpie, waiting in a bag for life until I find a box, carrier of rubbish evicted from kitchen, DW on. I really need a shower and I know I'll feel better for having one but really CBA. Off to list a bin bag of girls clothes for free on FB marketplace, I'm sick of looking at it and CBA waiting for the chazzas to reopen.9 -
Pigpen you are probably right, expect the worst then anything else is a bonus.
GI love the idea of a party for the children, sounds great! Asb its frustrating, sometimes I just want someone to do something without me asking. Sorry you didnt get any further with the drains, but well done for sending him packing if he was no use!
Been tired today, finished my 33 hours for the week and have been gently pottering. In fact I sat for a while with a cup of tea just doing nothing. Kitchen is a bit messy but I have all weekend to tackle it. Its a "chuck something in the oven out of the freezer" tea tonight. Need to work on my budget for next month, new super tight budget, food shopping is the one thing that I really need to get under control, but if I am now getting a weekly slot that should make it easier.

Morning all,
I hope you're all having a much deserved lay in. I was really really down yesterday and have promised myself it won't be that way today. The sun is out which helps. So far I have stripped the children's beds and they are swishing in the WM. Another load waiting for after that. The downstairs toilet is very cobwebby all of a sudden so I will get the hoover out when I've finished this cuppa. Someone has asked for the clothes I listed so will leave them on the driveway later. We'll get out for a big walk in the forest later too, that lifts my mood. Right, off to check the bank accounts, have lovely days all xx
ETA has anyone heard from Jazee recently? I hope she's ok x9 -
Good morning all
The sun is making an appearance, although for how long, who knows. The wm is on, as suddenly the laundry baskets went from empty to full, I have wultd, and am now having my cuppa. I was certainly in the wide awake club last night. I don’t think that I am down atm so much as unsettled. Bizarrely I think it is the talk of coming out of lockdown that is doing it. It feels safer as we are, although I know it can’t (shouldn’t) continue forever.
DH is now worried about his job, as well as trying to sort out this family funeral. It feels like we are spending money like water somehow, even though we aren’t going anywhere, including shopping. I think that what we are getting is simply costing us more.Anyhow, the plan today is to get the washing out on the line, then go to the allotment for a couple of hours to see how many more weeds have grown over the past week. This afternoon, the plan is to make some bread and who knows what else...
Have a lovely day everyone8 -
Morning xx
I've been up for two hours and done nowt! Unless you count catching up with fb, this thread and weight loss thread whilst supping a brew.
Fayolle - I'm more trepidatious about coming out of lockdown than I was about going in to it! I'm a hermit by nature! Now they are looking at relaxing the two metre rule - I'm going to start wearing hooped crinolines with a 'Keep away you germy beeeps' look on my face (perfected over the past weeks when anyone came too close) I know what's a good idea (DS and his Dad dive for cover when they hear those words
) - we should all wear Dalek type outfits (maybe without the exterminator bit - too tempting to use those around some people). Welcome to Roundtuit's brain!!!!
asb - I was thinking about Jazee in the week too. I had a bad leg and remembered that Jazee told me which leg to lead with going up or down stairs after I sprained my ankle last year. Hope you are ok Jazee. (waves)
Better get Weekend Willi motivated:
Round 1
sort washing in loads
set WM swishing with first load
breakfast and another brew
That'll do - don't want to peak too early!
Love and hugs to all

Morning. I'm still here, I've been reading along when I can but not stopping to post. Still working, busy trying to find temp jobs for those who've fallen through the cracks of gvt support. Health wise I need to wait for normal nhs to be resumed before I get fixed (same for DH) so am managing with varying strengths and doses of painkillers. So quite frequently I join some of you in the wide awake club.
Anyway, I now have four days off so will try to post more. So far today I have done the dailies and cleaned the fridge. Going to have a cuppa now then procrastinate over what to do next.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10
