Eh? It's not a choice ... it's either an in-person hearing OR it's a telephone hearing, and your paperwork from the court will tell you. So which is it?Jenni x1

I feel like I am just being told off here so lets just end this topic. This has been on going for years and just causing me a lot of stress. I think it is just better off paying0

Hang on, be careful, you have a hearing tomorrow so go along to the local county court in person at 9am (or as near as you can to that time) and find out when the hearing is timed for, and you will be allowed to attend.
You can say you moved house and your redirection seems to have failed but you are here and wish to attend. Take a printed copy of your WS and evidence.
You can't just miss it and assume you can just pay, because you might get clobbered for unreasonable conduct - potentially hundreds in costs. Don't miss a hearing. Go along first thing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just by way of an update. I managed to get the the PCN cancelled. My defence was poor (according to the judge) but I could see he was desperate to help me and challenged them on everything. To be honest I was banged to rights but I mentioned I had called the receptionist who said she was add my number plate to the system as it was down when I visited. The fact that BW legal didn't try to corroborate that was enough!
I said to myself I would never get into this position gain and now my wife has a fresh private PCN!
I will start a new thread and this time do it properly. The saga continues...............2 -
Well done on this one! A good Judge.
