:wall: wow that must be really annoying.
im not registered with them so i cant check if its a general thing or if its just your loggin. sorry redsquirrel

thought id update u all again, i have ordered £60 of park high street gift vouchers from Park. Had to make a minimum payment of £10 to start with, so only got £50 to pay now over 45 weeks or so. Maybe a bit less by the time I start making my payments.
thought it would be a little bit extra for pressies, it works out at something daft like £1.11 a week. so not an amount that ill miss.
trying really hard this year to be more organised! having £15/mth s/o to my mum each month, £1/wk going in a little pot, £2/wk saver stamps and now £1.11 a week for park. is anyone else saving money regularly like this??

    My totals so far

    Cashed
    Lightspeed - £9
    Pigsback - £20

    Earned
    One Poll - £19.60
    You Gov - £15.45
    Pure Profile - £8.25
    Boots points - £20.05
    It's Your View - £2
    Archerfish - £3.01
    Liberty Cash - £0.53
    Pigsback - £6.85

    TOTAL - £104.74

Is anyone else doing this challenge as free money only? As in, no BOGOFs, coupons, etc? I don't count these as they were already part of my moneysaving so it would be like counting them twice IYSWIM. I DO count the Boots points as I never buy anything from there that I wouldn't buy as part of my weekly shop (toothpaste etc - but only when it's on offer :D ). My gas and electric is with Powergen, I have my Tesco clubcard registered with them so I'll include that when I get the vouchers.

Hi Tru. I am using money off coupons (sort of) in my christmas 2008 challenge. Every time I use a money off coupon I put the equivalent amount of money away in a separate pot-effectively making an extra budget towards christmas iyswim?? Can I legitimately do this or is that classed as cheating?

Oh no it's not cheating at all :D

I just wondered if anyone did it the same way as me. I'm already counting coupon and BOGOF savings as part of another challenge, so I can't count them as part of this one, I'll think I'm richer than I actually am :rotfl:

I don't think it is classed as cheating - we all have our own rules and as long as you are doing something towards Christmas that is the main think, IMHO!!

I have enough points for another pigsback vouchers, and because I referred someone a while back I have had a bonus 500 points credited this week too!! I am also finally 3/4 of the way towards a toluna voucher....hopefully will get that before December :o

Oh, and I did a lightspeed survey too this week - another £ in the pot!

No, I would say that's fair enough. If you didn't have the coupon you wuld have to spend the money.

I'm not organised to do that yet though!! So far have only counted vouchers and money from surveys and cashback and loyalty points.

I haven't been doing this with the vouchers, mainly because I'm too thick to work it out! :rotfl:
I think hypno06 is right, I think we're all kinda doing our own things to make it easier later in the year.
I'm prob doing it different to alot of people, 'cos I'm buying £2 week saver stamps, so technically not "free" money, as im getting them with my normal weekly shopping budget. but come next december, the food shop will be "free" cos ill have already got my stamps... if you get me?? im also saving £15/month from my wages plus £1/wk into a little pot. so all this im including in my challenge. I've ordered £60 Park vouchers aswell, which is £1.11/wk.
So, i'm including loads of things in my challenge which aren't actually "free". But my personal challenge is to make Christmas 2008 free at the end of the year. So by end of November, I want to have everything saved and paid for etc.

    HTH tattycath??? :D

Hi Noggin. I'm saving morrisons saving stamps. I get some every time I go into Morrisons (i don't shop there all month but I do go in once or twice a month). I started for this christmas when I did my christmas shop in December 2007, I've got £15 of stamps so far. I am also saving in a piggy bank (£70 last month-but we are getting married this year).

Hi Noggin, I don't think you're nosey... more curious. We haven't actually set a date yet it will probably be summer and the money saved in pig will probably be swallowed up in the wedding expenses. It will definitely be this year though and looking at bank balance-definitely old-style. btw I'm not following you around tonight-honest, I just appear to be visiting threads after you have.:D
