Morning all.  Thanks for the get well wishes - woke up feeling a lot better this morning but suddenly don't feel quite right again.  Already planned on pyjama day for work as I have no calls but think I may have to go back to bed again.  DH ordered a pizza last night as he said it's "medicinal" but I think he actually didn't want to battle with the oven again  As I only had a small bowl of soup all day, I can safely say I enjoyed every bit, although the thought of food is making my stomach turn at the moment so having some peppermint tea to calm it down a bit.

When I eventually feel like eating, I'm probably going to make some pumpkin porridge with cinnamon and nutmeg as I have a whole bunch of home made pumpkin puree to use up and it just sounds comforting to me right now.  Hope you all have a good day.

Sorry you're still not feeling to good ruby.  Get yourself back to bed - it'll do you good.

Pumpkin porridge sounds interesting, not something I've ever had; in fact I don't think I've ever had pumpkin!  I tend to stick with butternut squash.

Breakfast looks lovely bubbs.  Are they Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausages?  Haven't had those for ages.  I usually just cook butchers low fat ones with our fry ups.

Out of interest I just went and weighed the half I've got left and that weighs 2lb 2oz so suspect mine was about 4 and half lb so not much smaller than yours!  I think the half I used was slightly bigger than the piece that's left.  Are you going to rice the whole thing or just half of it?

Take care ruby. Life's difficult enough without feeling ill as well.😊

Primula sounds like a bargain bubbs. I was pleased to get mine for £1. 😊 I did notice some at 87p in Farmfoods but I'm convinced it was a smaller tube . I didn't buy any but thought I'd make everyone aware.

We enjoyed out meal last night. It was really good to meet up with DD2 and her family. I made wise choices (smoked trout followed by halibut) but portions were small. I'd have had a cheeseboard but the others who'd had things like battered fish and pate didn't want puddings.  I was still  hungry when I got home so had 3  Ryvita with Marmite and Primula. 😋

    Back on plan today
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), pickles (S)
D- sausages, potato (F), cauli, broccoli, onions, greens (S), gravy (F)
    Syns- Aldi sausages 1

(Gravy's free because it's LO from HB recipe. I never bother counting half a tsp of cornflour shared with DH!)

How many syns in a blackcurrant and liquorice sweetie? I had 2 today and 3 yesterday, someone brough them into work and I couldn’t resist! Whoops

So today I had a hospital appointment (a pin which has been in my leg/ankle for approx. 20 years has made its way to just under the skin) so I have been putting off the op but went today and it will be happening at the end of the month under local so all good. Usually I would have stopped somewhere on the way home (kfc/mcdonalds/sandwich shop etc etc) but instead I nipped home for a tin of tomato soup before heading back to work. So I still think im winning a bit even if I did eat the sweeties.

Tonight after a long walk, really nice night for a walk I will be having gammon steak and roasted courgette, peppers, onions and mushrooms and maybe an egg.
