Ssshhhh.... I haven't washed the other kitchen windows BUT.. I had OH to de-ice the fridge so loads of smelly gross stuff has been binned. I have cleared all the worksurfaces bar a few bits I need to put away later. DW has been on 3 times. I got 1 of the 3 loads of washing on the line.. I might run and do the second one actually while there is still a bit of daylight left. Kitchen units and sink all wiped down and sparkly, inside oven door scrubbed.. and my glove got a hole in.. we have filled a whole binbag of rubbish again.. I love flinging.. I wish I was better at it, my house might be less cramped!!
Squeak is complaining of a sore throat.. it looked ok to me but she is prone to sore throats and tonsillitis the same as I am.. OH had his tonsils removed when he was about 4 but they were very keen to remove them at that time so was probably more routine than need... but we don't know.
Dot having a meltdown over pj's.. Twinkle just used glue as lip balm.. I need the ub to be open today lol.

Hi all
Been a tough day today somehow, everyone here feeling a bit grumpy and out of sorts. Work is really hard going. DS got his first food parcel today, he was really anxious about the food situation so we re-registered him as needing help with shopping and have priority deliveries and a food parcel. Feel a bit guilty accepting the help but DS is so vulnerable and I really dont want to risk going to the supermarket. Little flying done but the house is tidyish. I need a fresh start tomorrow.10 -
YL - never, ever feel guilty. You have been to hell and back, and deserve all the peace of mind you can get. Your DS needs that security, and he should have it. Please take that with the love and understanding that it is meant with xx
So this evening - drum roll - I have been to a supermarket! The first time since 10th March. DH had to drive me there (nearest is 15 miles each way), in case I was a wreck, but I have done it, and now I know the system, I could do it again at the same one. But maybe not for another month or so...9 -
YL - I second that.
I have put tomorrows maths on the draft page for tomorrow and photographs as support. I asked parents to save plastic bottles. Much amused that one child did her work using a wine bottle so maybe they didn't spot the request. I have also shared the lesson objective and explained what we're looking at. We have now split the work so that I am planning and setting the maths. It does mean I am doing work work everyday but hey ho.
Didn't get out for my walk as ended up moving all my bedroom furniture and cleaning behind it so a full spring clean in there.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Sitting here poised for Mr T yet again, must be lucky soon. At least I will spot any meteors flying past.
Spent most of today tackling the Room of Doom i.e. my study. 1st task has been to continue clearing the blue tray - not so much an 'in' tray as a permanent fixture. In the process I have chucked out loads and, while filing, I have been through my Uni admin file and culled anything unneeded (lots) and my 'computer' file. Unbelievable that the latter still contained receipts and handbook for the first computer I bought in 1999........anyway both files are now much slimmer and properly organised with divider sheets. Rather odd that I should find a long piece of tape, presumably off some sort of garment? A belt? Wonder why it was in the 'in' tray. Rang my mum as she is sewing scrub bags and needs tape for the drawstring. Plenty of scope in this room for a month or two in lockdown and wonder what else I will find.
Filled bird feeders
Watered greenhouse.
Walked friend's dog.

Evening all [waves].
Today
- I S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom
- I went to the corner shop for milk and the pharmacy for DH's cream, and also posted some forms which had taken about 4 hours of calculation and agonisation to fill in - but I'm pleased they're done. I seem to have spent a lot of the day on the phone, mainly in queues.
- I washed all the towels and then all the bath mats.
- DH had a phonecall inviting him to our local Outpatients-only hospital for a scan on Friday - only a day after he had the telephone consultation with the cardioologist!
- I have sorted and filed a big heap of paperwork and can see the spare bed now! There is a little bit more to do in the morning, but then I shall be able to remove the bedspread and the blanket which protects the mattress on the trundle bed from getting covered in Rosie's hair, and wash and dry them while the weather's good.
- as usual, I took Rosie for her walk
- I cooked our lunch and evening meal
- I watched SU2C Bake Off
However, the big frog is rapidly turning into a cane toad, and I neglected the garden todayMust do better tomorrow
(((Hugs))) all round, as needed, with an especially squishy one for YL xxx9 -

slight improvement on the waking up time. While watching TV last night I decided to investgate washability of cushions and pads - having measured a cushion because I am still investigating Possible Patchwork Project. Anyway; I have 6. 3 pads are in the machine as I type. I'm hoping for fresh and plump. Covers I shall handwash as they are dry clean...
Ionafan - do you need buttons? I can scrsbble through my tin if you like!

Morning all,
YL - do NOT feel guilty. You absolutely cannot risk going to a SM, you are doing the right thing. I hope today is brighter for you all.
I went on a big walk yesterday and ache lots today. I also forgot to put sun cream on 😏 (me, not the kids I hasten to add), so I look somewhat rosy today. We really need some fresh fruit so I may brave Tesco express today, I really don't want to and HATE the judgey looks I get for having the kids with me but what can I do!Right I'm off to throw some clothes on, get a wash on and empty the DW. Happy worry free Wednesday all xx11
