Morning all you lovely ladies,
Thank you all so much for your offers of tea bags. Have actually now found plenty of loose tea, the tea pot and tea strainer (which my girls used to think was a doll's sieve). So thoughtful of you all.
Busy day for me today as went to doctors for quick check up and repeat prescription, all fine. Was very surprised as rang yesterday for an appointment thinking 10 - 15 days time and got the next day first thing. Then went to collect my shopping order and as supermarket was very quiet popped in (with my mask on) and picked up some other nice fresh food. They had cut flowers too so bought some. Then went via a friend and left some masks I'd made and a bunch of flowers on her doorstep and in return she had left me a selection of cards (she distributes UK cards here in France which is great) so I now have a few lovely cards I can send to my DDs to let them know I'm thinking of them. Back home shopping away, cleaned up and enjoying coffee before thinking about lunch.
Thanks again for your thoughts, you are all wonderful.
Back later when I've actually done some flying

Much intrigued (who knew you could bake custard creams?) I googled that recipe and am so tempted to bake alongside you. But I don't need to eat any so I will do my utmost (hate to see it typed upmost) to resist. I am planning on making wild garlic butter which will give me a purpose for a walk, as I said.
Checked online banking. Checked email. Done some online jigsaws (there's a way to waste an hour - I am SO SLOW) and played my games. Showered and hair washed today (I have gone to washing it every other day to (a) preserve colour and (b) improve condition. Actually, some mornings it's not too bad. Oh - I'll have to wash it again tomorrow as we're zooming my mum for her birthday.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thank you all for the kind thoughts.
I have successfully decluttered DD’s hospital appointment by phone - 3 minutes. So different from the hour or so travel each way, associated parking, and the wait in the forever crowded waiting room. We were lucky that it was an option for this particular appointment.I have spent 3 hours sorting out paperwork, emails etc etc etc. I don’t think I have really dented it, in spite of the time spent. Oh well, another day. I think I will give the bathrooms a quick s&s before some linch - no point in cleaning the kitchen atm as it will soon be feeding time at the zoo, and they will traipse through individually to prolong the mess making.9 -

Round 2 done - eventually!
The car started (I thought it should, I only got it at the end of January! 😂), drove to BnM - they didnt have any sand and/or mortar, but managed to spend money anyway. Drove home (needed the loo!). Had some lunch while I was home, then walked to Mr Al's, which is a mile in the other direction. I walked in case I couldn't get the things I needed, and I may have to stop at other shops on the way back. Obviously I got everything in one shop 🤦♀️ - sod's law. DD2 has unpacked it while I have drink of water & catch my breath! (heavy bags!)
I am now going to attempt to make bourbons! Wish me luck!! (I don't do a lot of baking!)9 -
Hi all!!
You're all so productive.. I am a potato!!
I haven't been out of bed before noon almost every day since shcool finished.. OH gets up, feeds them breakfast throws ipads at them so they can catch up on school work on there (Dot doesn't.. ever), makes me a cuppa, lets the kittens and big mogs out (different doors) Boog gives the kittens their breakfast.. they get him up.. and I slob about upstairs on my phone and sorting finances and ebaying and other useless wastes of time. I get up feed the girls lunch get them dressed and hoof them outsde to play... That is pretty much our day!
The last 3 days I have had a horrendous dicky tummy.. and today have a bit of a high temperature.. it doesn't feel hayfeverish so probably just a bug that has blown in.. I've not been anywhere for 2 weeks so it's not something I have picked up.. no idea what is going on.. strange coincidence though that 2 of the grandbeasts who I haven't seen for a month are exactly the same!
I have done 2 loads of washing, 1 load through the DW and cleared 2 windowsills today. I didn't get the window washed today so assuming I still have some energy left once I have hung out washing I might give those the once over.
I'm always up for helping out should anyone be stuck for anything at all.. I have FINALLY got sorted with enough pasta for maybe 3 months so Dot will eat once more! (6x 3KG bags.. yes, that excessive) Just give me a shout here or FB or Insta or whatever! ALWAYS willing to help out if I can.
Still knitting the second blanket.. I've just not had any energy for it the last couple of days but I will get back on it assuming I can summon the energy this evening.
Off to pretend I am a useful member of the household!!! OH is digging in the garden.. don't know what and I honestly don't care.. he has separated some Dahlia tubers though.. they are multiplying at a phenomenal rate!

It’s too hot for digging! I have done HHx2 (maybe it was actually 3 or 4) MAD in the back garden. Doing it as MAD sessions worked last year so I’ll try again this year. I think I’m just doing the same little bit again though...
Bathrooms wiped over, DD helpfully changed her bedding and cleaned her room, so her bedding has been washed and is on the line. I vacuumed our room, so between us we have sort of flown as per today’s list.
I’m now flaked in an armchair. DH is still on the phone for work. No idea what dinner will be, as the planned dinner is still in the freezer.Intrigued by the homemade bourbons, GI. Hm biscuits and cakes are disappearing here at a phenomenal rate, so I daren’t try anything else until these have all gone. We won’t be able to fit out the doors at this rate.9 -
Hello lovely people!
I seriously need this in my life right now, please can I join?
I am not a total novice although with the state of my house you would think soI was part of the gang way back in 2010ish when my dd was little but fell off the wagon....for 10 years
she's 11 soon and I have added a ds so even more mess to deal with!
By dumb luck I had a massive go in the kitchen Sunday and did a few thing in my bedroom whilst dd and ds were getting ready for 'PE' home style this morning. Will check the list and see what I need to do tocatch/keep up

Welcome MeandThe2, minimal flying today WM x1 (dried on the line) to be ironed in a minute, I repotted several houseplants including turning 1 Aloe plant into 3 and sadly I think that is all apart from dailies. Must try harder tomorrow.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:11
