    But people have no choice (read the first post) so we are discussing strategy to:

    I thought that they could request a postponement and pay £255, it that not a choice? 

    My strategy would be to fight this tooth and nail.  If necessary,  pay the £255 and claim age discrimination.  No doubt an accountant or auditor will advise me that this is would be futile,.

    Why would they? It's a waste of money - it's unlikely you'd get that fee back - but it might "work"

    I notice you failed to respond on the other threads with why the sra would give two figs. Found a reason yet?

    On what basis is it age discrimination?  They are treating everybody the same.

    But DPD said specifically AGE discrimination, I'm just wondering where age comes into it.
