Hello. You are not the first one who's encountered this, I had a guy like that. If he keeps acting this way, you won't be happy. Don't solve all the problems on your own.
She has dumped him and got paid back.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • I'd like to thank you all for the comments I have broken up with him taken a lot of the advice and learnt my lesson. As we broke up I asked him to pay me back and to my surprise he did it in chunks so after a few months I received all my money back. However, the emotional turmoil i went through in this relationship i wouldn't wish on anyone! Next time ill be smarter again thank you all for the lovely advice.
Thank you for having the courtesy of updating us on the situation.  All the very best!!

Its funny you should say that. I had a nephew who borrowed £1,000 from me about 5-6 years ago. He was supposed to pay me back £50 a month but right from the start he reneged on the arrangement. I fell out with my brother and his wife over it and my nephew went to prison (over another matter). People on here told me to kiss goodbye to the money and I did.

However, a couple of years ago I found out that he had a job and I asked him to pay my money back. Very slowly at first he started paying me £20 here and £20 there and after a while I discovered that he had paid over half of it back. I told him this to encourage him and he started paying more often. This year he told me he was doing lots of overtime and wanted to clear it, which he did. Very often people who borrow money in this way do want to pay it back and so I am very glad that you got your money back too, eventually.
