It looks like HE have been forced to backtrack and give cash refunds to those that have booked a flexible booking

Judging by the HE Refund FB group though, only for those who have been pestering them. Unless you know of anyone who has a refund without having emailed?

Some customers have told us that they would prefer monies refunded over a voucher. As a gesture of goodwill (we've been forced to) we are now contacting those customers with flexible bookings, in cancellation-date order, with the option to take a refund in cash.

I didn't have a flexible booking, or pester them. I was offered a voucher or told I would get one about 3 times in March, every time I said I wanted a full refund instead. I heard nothing since 31/3 and found the money back on my card with no warning.

According to their facebook update they have been emailing those with refund emails up to and including 16/3 ... except me as I haven't received anything! I'm still waiting for my Tui refund too :-1:

I'm lucky that I was refunded, Nationwide took 2 wks to reply for my request for a charge back which I asked for before I knew I had the refund. Nationwide said
Will I be covered by chargeback?

Chargeback is a Visa scheme initiative that allows us to dispute a transaction in certain circumstances. Unfortunately, where the service is still offered by the merchant, we’re unable to take this route – even if you have been advised not to travel by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

If your booking was refundable (i.e. you were entitled to cancel the service for a full or partial refund), but you do not receive the refund you’re entitled to from the merchant, we may be able to make a claim on your behalf.
