If the thread wasn't so long winded and full of guff - then you're right I might know - but haven't seen it articulated anywhere that you've actually put in a written complaint outlining your grievance - and whether there's been a positive outcome or not. If you've just whinged on the phone - then you might not get your £35 back.LaMon said:

Regardless of what's happening there are always "much bigger problems in the world".D3xt3r5L4b said:6 pages all for the sake of £35.
When there’s much bigger problems in the world.
That's why people concern themselves with the things important to their own lives because these are the things that people can possibly change or improve.
You seem to be suggesting that, because people can't cure cancer or bring about world peace, they shouldn't complain about anything.0 -
Firstly I wasn't whinging but phoned, as I was told to if I was charged interest. But the call handler, possibly knowing that he's in power (some people get on little power trips when they are allowed to because of the volume of calls at the moment) wasn't listing to me. FYI, I have sent a request to the data controller at Barclays for a copy of my call on the 21st plus a message to Barclaycard outlining the issue. The latter was supposed to be replied to whiting 24h, but at the moment it's the day no 3.cymruchris said:

Ok good - once you get the call recording - will you then put in a written complaint? That's all I think you need to do - keep it simple. I'm confident they'll resolve the situation to your satisfaction, but give them time and opportunity to do soLaMon said:Firstly I wasn't whinging but phoned, as I was told to if I was charged interest. Yours and other patronising comments do nothing to help anyone!onlyfoolsandparking said:Whether the OP was lied to or not is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme, if they cant afford £35 in interest and have to borrow off a friend to live, maybe their time would be better spent looking for a better paying career!!.
Have you heard about principles? Being given a word and then that is being revoked, then you have to pay for the change when you are not aware of it? I rather give the £35 to 100-year-old Captain, not to Barclaycard!
As for your other comment regarding careers, wait to see how many will be bankrupt because of the forthcoming depression. Be careful what you wish to others, very few businesses will be immune to the crashing world economy.
