Small spend to report today - $37.89 to get a few bits to take to my parents on the weekend (woohoo, first time in months!), plus squeegee sponges as DH just used ours to clean the outside of the house!
Also fish and chips for dinner on Wed as a treat - lots going on for us right now. We were planning on Thai tonight but we're going to have a stew I made yesterday instead so I feel less bad about Wed, lol.
Will do the weekend shop on Sunday or push it out to Monday. If I'm super organised I'm thinking of booking a delivery... but that means being organised today. Hmmmm.....March 2020 grocery challenge $921.76/$500AU
April 2020 grocery challenge $744/$800
May 2020 GC $724.11/$750
June 2020 GC $370.31/$700
July 2020 GC $316.87/$7008 -
Sent DH to collect the Tesco c&c last night and have to say we weren't that impressed. Muffins bb yesterday, meat use by today. I'll be phoning up to complain today but that's much harder than Asda too so I'm going to go back to Asda in future.
Total shop before any refund was £92.71. We'll probably be over but if I can stay under £500 I'll be happy. One c&c booked for next weekend and then the next will (hopefully) be in June(!) So just a couple of inevitable small top ups in between likely.
£319.93/£450

I came upon a 14kg bag of SR flour today, after a little dithering it popped in the car,£7.99. It really would have been rude to have left it. I do need flour and I am sharing it with friends,so its a win win.

Went to Morries last night for a few things, hated, hated hated it, not many customers in store and we easily avoided each other, staff brushing past and moving into my path, back to Aldis for me, spent £6.86 as couldn`t get what I needed, I am currently messaging Morrisons as I am very annoyed that the prices on the website are different in store, nowhere can I find web only offers. The price difference on a bottle of whisky is £3, not arguing over pennies.Do I need it or just want it.6

Have not checked in for ages so having totalled everything up have spent £146.93 since then. This includes once weekly shop at @ldi - pre pandemic had never shopped there but it feels safest and more organised than my usual Morri's where everyone is happy to social distance outside but get inside and it's like a trolley dash! still sharing a weekly farm shop which my DSis does for meat and some veg and have paid the milkman. Thanks for the tips re bulk buying - am reading the prepping thread and going to try and build up additional stocks for later in the year. Will update sigJanuary 2020 Grocery challenge £119.45/£200

£48 spent at the market this morning on fruit, veg, meat & cheese for most of this week; will probably need to spend a small amount at W8rose tomorrow as we'll need more milk, and cream, to turn 2Kg of lovely cherries (for £5) into ice-cream...Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6

Did the weekly shop today on bike with the kids trailer as we've lost the car key! Tesco's is the closest and some things were a bit more expensive, so I bought everything I need for this week but didn't get a few store cupboard bits I was planning on stocking up on. The kids have been dying for some snacks for the last few days, so I'm going to spend the evening baking!
Spend £38.84 in total, which again will be rounded up to £39! £117/180 so far this month7 -
£28.81 spent today.
Both OH and my deodorants are on offer at the moment so I picked us up enough for at least a couple months each so a good portion of the spends was on that.
OHs dinner - pepperoni pizza.
My dinner - vegan bibimbap.
£233.96/£300.
£66.04 left.
Our next spend shouldn't be until Monday when we will get a delivery from A&C which will include a small fruit and vegetable box and a cooks ingredients box aswell as OHs milk and toilet roll. A few extra items are not in the grocery budget as they are birthday treats and out of a different budget. Looking forward to the boxes and the treats. If nothing else gets added it will come to £35.10 from the grocery budget.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy6
