Hi I didn't mean to be complaining, they're doing ok just not always lots of initiative :-)Baileys_Babe said:@ditty1234 would it be useful to make a list of chores, separating it into say daily, weekly, occasionally, set days (bin day), other frequencies that you need. Then everybody knows what needs to be done and when. That way just you who knows what needs doing.
Today is a lovely moist da and in a sec I have been invited to go and bike along ds run - he now wants to do a half marathon. We were going to go and run around in 2 k circles at each our pace just looking for ways of keeping active together.
Oldest is back at work, worried what viruses he'll bring home, but thats a worry shared by everybody working at the moment.
Did a very small shop as am now just playing for time until pay day ... no more stocking up for now.

I didn't think you were complaining @ditty1234 I was suggesting a way to give all the household knowledge.
We have only just finished lunch, I'm not sure why we had it so late.
After breakfast, we played a board game and then did some chores, followed by researching some new tech.
This afternoon I would like to:
Sort out my car Done
Look into opening a new bank account
Eat some Easter chocolate Done
Make pizzas, I must go and put the dough on Done
Read my book Done
Purge some emails Done

Afternoon all,
We had some rain yesterday and one shower this morning. The garden will have definitely needed it.
Last night dh & I watched "Phantom of the Opera" on youtube, I've never seen it but knew quite a lot of the songs so it was a lovely evening.
Today we've been out for a 3 mile walk with ds2 which was nice for a change. We are having having a movie night from our stash.
THe heating is still off but its very cool here today, I've got the fleece blankets out again which I'd washed and put away when the nice weather started.
Other then that, its the usual things mse things we do on a daily basis.
Our days are definitely revolving around food, as soon as breakfast is done the kids are asking what will be for lunch and what time!
Anyway I better go as Dh is waiting to use the computer after me!!
Take care allSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Morning frugal pals. We seemed to have a productive day yesterday and it went by quite quickly. Had HM pancakes with bacon for breakfast which felt like a real treat! Shopping came lat night, still no bread flour (expected) and no suet - we’ll survive without! Will try local miller again for bread flour.Today’s list:
finish putting washing away I didn’t do yesterday
tidy 1 more area
supervise DD making a cake for her badge
More knitting, hopefully get some of the complex one done
make crumble for tea, have some mix in freezer already
get something out of freezer for tea
water seedlings
use another moisturiser I cut open yesterday
have a good day all. Purps.5 -
Hi all, todays list is a bit of a repeat/mop up of things I'm just not getting done.
SO I will just leave it at one little uplifting thing which is that a black/purple plant I bought probably 5 years ago and planted, it didn't like it's location so just sat there, I then put it in a pot for a couple of years just keeping an eye on it at the back of the garden and sproing - this morning it has a beautiful purple flower. So I have moved it to the front of the garden, and I'm making bug plans for it's future life. My gardening style is a mix of live and let live as well as survival of the fittest! SO sometimes it works.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning all
The sun has reappeared and my mood has lifted, so after a couple of sluggish days, I have been busy this morning and have more planned for later
I think it was the weather that made me feel low, (having said that I was grateful for the rain for the garden), missing my family, plus the fact that I had a video consultation with my lovely GP the other day, and the blood tests and ultrasound that he really thought I ought to be having seemed too risky to both him and I at the moment
Anyway, there are many others in this situation, so I feel guilty about having wallowed a bit about it. Having nice warm fires over the last couple of cold evenings helped (and I didn't feel guilty about it in the slightest
), as did cake
Ziggy, I made your lemon and lime cake and it is lovely, highly recommended! So far I have:Walked the dog at 5.30 am (not supposed to go out really, but can't see the harm when there is nobody else about)Made some hummus for lunchKitchen clean upTaken apart my growlight thingy that I was growing microleaves under in the conservatory and put it outside in the sun to dry out properly so it can be put away. I can grow microleaves perfectly well without it now, and it takes up space on the conservatory table.Moved the tomato plants and various seedlings from the dining table into the space left by the microlight'Earthed up' the potatoes growing in potsCo-opted OH to help me with a couple of heavier garden chores this afternoonAnd later I will:Wraps for lunch with my home made hummus and green oddments from the garden (I have various leaves and spring onions)With OH's help, construct some frameworks for runner and French beans, and dig in some manure where they are going to be plantedSmash up an old, broken clay pot and put the pieces into a container with others, to use later for drainage in the bases of other potsWater seedlings in greenhouseFeed feathery pals and fill up the bird bath, as they always seem to almost empty it with their ablutions
Clean bathroomMake a pasta bake thing for dinner to use up various leftoversHope everyone is enjoying the nice sunshine as opposed to horrible grey cold weather we have had for the last couple of days!3 -
Morning everyone
I still havent done my drop and wheel DawnW!
The person in question has been taking a walk round the street everyday but havent even spotted them doing that. At this rate they will get some Easter goodies at Christmas!
I have to admit to dodging my bloodtest. It was just as lockdown was happening and its just a yearly check so i was happy to wait.
- chilli in slowcooker. Original mince smelled off so pulled more out of the freezer. It seems abit overloaded with mince now but will make plenty of meals.
-still havent done the DIY touch ups. Really dodging these
-washing to put away
-washing to go out on line. It was so cold last night that we put the heating on. Thought we would have a storm but never happened
-windows back open for fresh air today
- done a little bit of paperwork but promised myself to take time away from it today
- rewatching A touch of Frost. I have a treat of an episode a day otherwise i would never get anything done and binge watch!
Stay safe everyone x

Bright and sunny here today and even though its chilly the sunshine is most welcome. Yesterday was not a great day - a really good family friend died (not of Covid) and it really knocked mum - lots of tears were shed but today is a better day, we've just heard DN has had a C-section and we have a new baby joining our clan.
